Cinderella, a name whispered in hushed tones throughout the kingdom, was a girl shrouded in misery from the day she drew her first breath. Her mother's life had been sacrificed to bring her into the world, a twisted twist of fate that cast a shadow over her existence. The family's once-thriving business, dealing in precious food imports, had spiraled into ruin after a mysterious affliction tainted their shipments, leaving the entire kingdom sick and disgusted.

Desperate to mend their crumbling fortunes, Cinderella's father had taken a second wife in hope's of another family's wealth will help his precious daughter live a life of comfort, unaware that her family's wealth was also waning. His death came suddenly, veiled in an aura of suspicion, and the stepmother didn't hesitate to point her finger at Cinderella, alleging that the girl had poisoned her own father's tea as an act of revenge for her father marrying again. This accusation solidified Cinderella's reputation as a cursed child all across the country, blamed for her family's downfall.

The noble mansion teetered on the precipice of an extravagant ball. Money was scarce, but the stepmother had spared no expense on her two daughters' dresses, though not yet adorned with jewels and intricate embellishments, were clearly superior to Cinderella's threadbare attire.

In the dimly lit corridors of the mansion, Sukuna had infiltrated the household, his true form concealed by a butler's disguise. He watched in silence, collecting the puzzle pieces of information that would facilitate his dark dealings.

The names of the daughters came one by one, carried on the whispers of the servants and the proud proclamations of the stepsisters. Anastasia, the elder, was the first to reveal herself, a despicable character in every sense. She berated the servants with scathing words, her arrogance mirroring her outer beauty.

Sukuna muttered to himself, "Disgusting nobles, rotten to the core, inside and out."

Drizella, the younger stepsister, was no better. She took pleasure in tormenting a young maid, whose only crime was her striking beauty. Sukuna watched in morbid fascination as Drizella ruthlessly snipped the maid's flowing hair and cackled like a malevolent witch. His resolve to harvest their souls only strengthened.

As he continued to observe, Sukuna could hardly contain his anticipation. He was certain that Cinderella, the supposed cursed child, would be no different from her vile stepsisters. Yet, when he finally laid eyes on her, his curiosity was piqued.

His gaze shifted from the preening stepsisters to Cinderella. She stood apart from her siblings, her appearance strikingly different. Her attire was a patchwork of tattered fabric, and her face bore the marks of labor, her eyes weary but resilient. She moved with a grace that defied her circumstances, and it was this contrast that intrigued Sukuna.

Cinderella's hands were rough and calloused, a stark contrast to her stepsisters' delicate, unblemished skin. Her once-vibrant eyes, now dimmed by years of hardship, held a flicker of hope that refused to be extinguished. Her lips, parched and dry, occasionally formed a gentle smile, as if dreaming of a better life.

As Sukuna continued to observe Cinderella, he couldn't help but marvel at her spirit. His anticipation for the moment he could claim her soul grew with each passing second, and he yearned to uncover the secrets hidden within the depths of Cinderella's heart.

The noble mansion was a world of contrasts—the opulence of the stepsisters versus the quiet strength of Cinderella. It was a place where appearances were deceived and where the true essence of one's character was often hidden beneath layers of pretense. And Sukuna, the demon in disguise, relished the opportunity to unveil those hidden truths and fulfill his dark desires.
