"let me see," gracie said, trying her best to not laugh as well at her girlfriends fit of rage. she pulled charlotte's hand away from her forehead and frowned at the small cut, which was barely visible. "marcus," she sternly said, voice laced with a murderous intent. she glared at him like he just cut charlottes entire face in half.

"sorry!" he genuinely said in amusement as matthew gave him a slap on the back of the head.

gracie used her thumb to wipe away the small specks of blood as she held charlottes head against herself. she doesn't know why she thought it, but at least it was that and not her dad wandered her mind. she frowned and bit her tongue.

"fuck you," charlotte jokingly scoffed at marcus, moving out of gracie's arms to shove past marcus and grab the cereal and two bowls.

"hey a annoying headache will probably help you bitch out your parents more when we write the article," marcus said optimistically. "your welcome."

"alright, what big plot points are we gonna drop," sadie asked, clasping her hands together.

charlotte chuckled, shaking her head as she slid gracie her bowl of cheerios, "this feels like plotting a murder."

"it is," olivia bluntly said. "anyways, permission to write a diss track on your parents?"

"you are not becoming a diss artist," matthew said, rolling his eyes.

olivia condescendingly mimicked his voice, making a yapping motion with her hand as she stole a bite of charlottes fruit loops. charlotte looked to gracie, noticing that she hadn't even taken a bite of her cereal yet, just prodded around it with her spoon. she cursed herself for forgetting she wasn't that comfortable with eating around everyone else yet.

"um caleb, sadie, can you guys go look for my laptop, it's in my car in pretty sure," she said.

"uh-huh," sadie nodded, following caleb out the kitchen.

"gross, giving them alone time," jude snickered.

"shut up and go take weenie to pee," charlotte shot back, gesturing to the dog who appeared at the foot of the stairs.

jude flipped her off and dragged marcus away with him to take weenie out.

"matt, olivia, can you guys check upstairs if there's any other laptops, y'know so we can all write shit," charlotte asked.

"yes, anything else princess?" matthew asked, glaring at her.

"not for now," she mumbled, waving them off.

once they left, charlotte turned her attention back to gracie, moving to sit next to her at the island.

"you sure you wanna write that article?" gracie asked, taking her first bite.

charlotte shrugged, "yeah, i mean it's all we got. i wanna make things right with them, whatever way i can. why?"

"i just wanna make sure you'll be okay. it's a lot to put this all out publicly, you're gonna get a lot of opinions thrown at you. i don't want you getting hurt." gracie brushed the hair blocking the side of charlottes face away.

"i'll be okay. as long as you're with me right? that matters more," charlotte replied, kissing her cheek.

gracie giggled, a smile curling at her lips, "okay." she glanced at her bowl and then around the room, "mind grabbing my phone from upstairs?"

charlotte nodded, taking another bite of her cereal and flashing gracie a thumbs up before dashing back upstairs. she found the phone, laying on the side table, and unplugged it. as she did, her thumb grazed over the screen which lit up the lock screen. charlotte glanced at it and immediately grinned upon seeing the image of herself laying on the floor nose to nose with weenie in gracie's apartment. before they were public, she recalls gracie's lock screen being of just weenie because according to her 'only her favourite things to look at were worthy of taking up her lock screen.' and now it was weenie and charlotte. which was another automatic win in the actresses mind.
