We both leave together, he in his black Cadillac, and me in my red Porsche. I drive quickly to school, not because I'm worried about being late, but because I like the feel of the wind tousling my hair. Due to my quick driving, I make it to school in under ten minutes, and I pull up in my spot at the school parking lot. I step out and glance around, before walking confidently into the school building, and towards my locker. The hallways are deserted by this time, as it is well into first period which means that other students are in their classes by now. However, when I approach my locker, I am pleased to see my favorite red head waiting for me.

"Hey girl", I say, sneaking up on her from behind and causing her to scream, first in fear, then excitement.

"OMG Kay", she screams, hugging me tight. "Happy birthday girl. I thought you were one of the teachers about to give me detention.", she laughs in her musical way.

Steph was my closest friend, and a bad girl like me. She was tall with red hair and the creamiest white skin I had ever seen in my life. She had a single tattoo of a snake stretching from her neck to her left arm and an eyebrow piercing on her right eyebrow.

"How are things going?", I ask, and she frowns.

"My dad is threatening to send me to an all-girls boarding school. He's literally trying to control my life"

I give her a pat on her head. Steph's father is one of the big politicians slash lawyers and he is... less than happy about how his daughter spends her hours, though I have to admit, Steph is way more behaved than I am.

"Forget about it", she shrugs. "Today is your day, and I'm already guessing that you want to see your darling bae?", she raises her eyebrows questioningly.

"Have you seen Jason?", I asked with a smile.

"Yeah, I saw him a few minutes ago. It looked like he was going to the library", she smirked, and I returned the gesture. The library was one of the top makeout spots in the school, and if Jason was there, then things looked like they were about to take an interesting turn.

"Guess I'm off to the library", I said with a mischievous grin.

"So long as you tell me all the juicy details", Steph winked.

"Sure I'll tell you during lunch."

"Ughhh I can't wait that long", she groans and I laugh.

"You'll have to hon. I'll see you then okay?". And without waiting for an answer, I set off to the library to find my boyfriend.

I had to be careful, because I didn't want to be caught by a teacher, but eventually, I made it. I walked into the dark library. "Hey Jaso – oh"

I struggled to process what I was seeing. There was my boyfriend, his blond hair covering most of his face. with his tongue down some blond chick's throat. He was so engrossed that he hadn't even heard me come in. turns out that he wasn't here to surprise me. He came to this library for a make-out session of his own.

I cleared my throat, causing Jason to look at me, and boy was he surprised. His blue eyes got as big as saucers, and he released the girl as if she was iron-hot.

"Kay I can – "

"I hope you are not going to say 'I can explain' because there is no explanation you can give for why your lips were just attached to this slut's. And please don't say "I didn't mean to', because there is no way your tongue accidentally slipped down her throat.", I spit, and Jason recoils.

I can see the girl clearly now, and its Amanda, the captain of the cheer squad and my sworn enemy. How cliché of him to cheat on me with a blonde haired bimbo whose boobs are faker than her hair extensions.

"Kay I was just – "

"You were just cheating on me, Jason dear", I said in a voice laced with sarcasm. "It's a

pity though. I would usually be hurt like this, but considering that you are now my ex-boyfriend, I honestly could not care less."

"Please Kay", Jason pleads, fear and sadness in his eyes. "Please don't break up with me. I love you."

"Funny way of showing it though. However, since I've already gotten a new man, I don't think I need your love."

Jason's eyes harden as he glares at me. "You're lying. You actually think anyone else would date you. you're nothing but a little snob, looking for someone to crow over. You don't even put out. I literally have to beg before I can get anything out of you. For a bad girl you're nothing more than a scared child"

I blink as his words hit me, but I don't waver. "Well then, enjoy yourself with your new and improved non-snob who will put out. Hope you don't catch herpes", and with that, I sunnily sail out of the room flipping them off victoriously, even though in my heart, I don't feel like rejoicing.

And then I bump into a wall. No not a wall – a chest. I look up to see the face of Aaron Delany – or rulebook as I called him – my class captain and Jason's sworn enemy.

"You're late for class Kayla", he glares down at me, brushing his dark brown hair out of his eyes and adjusting his glasses which were now askew.

"So what rulebook?"

"So the teacher said that I should find you, and drag you back to class if necessary.". His voice was deadpan and, to my ears, boring. Everything about him was boring, from his neatly ironed uniform, to his hard black eyes and dark brown immaculately groomed hair, framing a clear earnest and studious face. Even his eyebrows were straight without a single hair out of place, and his black eyes were framed by glasses. Most girl's found him attractive, but the good boy look didn't work for me. I preferred a bad boy who could at least show some emotion, unlike the block of marble in front of me. The only time I had seen his expression change was either when he was playing football as the star quarterback or studying.

We were backed up against the corner of the wall when the bell rang, marking the end of first period.

"Well you can get lost now because the period's over.

Just as he opens his mouth to give a reply, I spot Jason and Amanda walking out of the library together and their proximity makes me boil. I mean, yes we have officially broken up, but the fact that he has no shame in being so close to her so soon after our break up pisses me off.

I need revenge.

Grabbing Aaron by the shirt, I pull him closer to me.

"Hey, what are you...", but that was as far as he got before I kissed him. I hear doors opening around me as students rush to the next class, and Jason gasps from behind us.

Still I don't stop. I put on quite a show, which is difficult, considering that Aaron is basically struggling to get away from me. Least he could do is cooperate.

Finally, I let him go, acting oblivious to the crowd around me. Some people have brought out their phones and are recording us. Aaron is staring at me like he could kill me. However, the best reaction is Jason – he is staring, a look of hurt and anger on his face. I totally ignore it.

"See you later babe.", I smile at Aaron, making sure that I am loud enough for Jason to hear. Whispering to Aaron I say, "I'll explain it all later. Do not say a word about this to anyone."

And with that, I place a peck on Aaron's cheek and sashay off to my next class.
