Chapter 21

I got up seeing everyone was still sleeping.  

I went into the bathroom and took a shower then got ready and dried my hair.  

I looked in the mirror scanning myself over.  

I jumped. My eyes we black. Like totally black that covered the whole part of my eye.  

I screamed.  

"What the hell" Michael said from bed.  

I ran in.  

"MY EYES ARE BLACK!" I screamed.  

Paul looked at me and his eyes widened and he was in front of me in a flash.  

"God, what did you do?" 

"I didn't do anything!" I freaked out.  

"Wait...doesn't Melanie have a talent in doing this stuff to humans?" Jess said.  

"God...Melanie" 

"Who's Melanie?"  

"One of the girls Paul's dad forced him to go out with" 

"Hu..." 

"Shoot I shouldn't have told her that" Jess said.  

"No...no I needed to know...girl stocking my boyfriend" I whispered.  

"Kat..." I looked up "Shoot! I forgot your vampires" 

I went and got my sunglasses and put them on. 

"What are you doing?" Paul asked.  

"I'm going for something to eat...I'm human I can't starve myself"  

I went out the door.  

I went to the coffee shop and got a hot chocolate and an energy bar. 

I walked about, not really knowing what to do. I went back to school and sat down on the chairs.  

"Katerina isn't it?" I heard a voice say.  

I looked at the girl.  

Black hair green eyes pale skin.  

"Yes...you?" 

"Oh...I'm Melanie...I'm new but I've seen you around" 

"Oh hi" 

Melanie...the Melanie that Paul went out with.  

"Could you show me were the bathroom is?" she asked.  

"Sure" 

I got up and walked to the bathroom as she followed me.  

"Here we are" I said.  

"Thank you" 

I nodded and started to walk away when I was pulled back and into the bathroom.  

She pinned me against the wall, holding me tightly by my throat.  

"Hmm...I can see why he picked you" she said.  

She let go of my throat. I gasped.  

"Take off your sunglasses" 

"What?" 

"Take them off" 

"No" 

She yanked them off and I closed my eyes.  

"God! Just open them" 

So I did.  

She laughed. 

"He's already bit you...nearly complete"  

"What?!" 

"Figure it out yourself" 

The door burst open.  

Melanie was pinned by Jess on the other wall.  

"Hey Jess how's life?" 

"Shut up! What did you do?" 

"Let's just say a witch owed me a lot" 

"What did you do?"  

"I put her in transition"  

"You what!" 

"He doesn't want her to be a vampire! So I put her in transition" 

"Your so dead!" Jess growled "You know only mates are aloud to change the other if they're human! You are so dead!" 

"Ha my dad is in the council he won't let them kill me!" 

"Sure you think you won't get punished? Well your wrong! You will get punished and your daddy won't get a say cause it will be a vote!" 

"Shut up!" 

"You know it's true and you can't stand it!" 

Melanie growled and Jess was on the floor.  

"Ugh!" she yelled.  

"J-Jess" 

"Kat! Are you ok?" 

I looked up at her.  

"I don't want to be a vampire" I sobbed "Not now, in the future yeah but now...no" 

"Kat...it's going to be ok" 

"Just make it stop"  

"I can't" 

I cried into my hands.  

"Put your sunglasses back on and let's go back upstairs and we can drown ourself in ice cream and watch twilight and vampires suck to make you laugh and we can also watch love stories" 

"Ok" I chocked out.  

I put my sunglasses back on and got up.  

We walked back to the room.  

"Kat...Paul's away tracking down Melanie with Michael so it just us" 

"Its ok"
