"You actually spoke German?" He looked surprised.

"Yeah."

Seyi P.o.v

"You actually spoke German?"

"Yeah." She said with a smile of triumph.

She always seems to surprise me.

When I had come to the restaurant, a waitress had directed me to her office.

To describe this restaurant it is quite an elite. Two storey building. As I suspect, the upper floor is for reserved people and well extremely rich while the down floor is for average.

It was simple but yet eyes catching.

On entering her office, she was laying on a couch and after a quick survey it looked nothing like one.

She looked at ease and comfortable as she laid  there and I reluctantly had to look away from her.

As she faced me, I felt something... I can't explain it but it felt like the breath in me had been shortened.

After a few conversations I realised that she didn't really remember anything from last night which was good considering her last words to me but still... Somewhere deep inside me wished she remembered.

Although she tried her best to trick me that she remembers, she wasn't really good at masking her expression which also showed how remorseful she was about discussing my private matters with her friends.

And now as Derek arrived she seems to be surprising me every time .... Who speaks German to a dog cause it's a German shepherd!! I mused.

"You make it sound bad Seyi." Derek said.

I blinked at him." Why are you siding her, it doesn't make sense to talk to German to a dog."

"Says the guy afraid of a chiwawa." Derek said and Osas didn't attempt to hide her laugh.

I did like her laugh, it was contagious. Derek had joined her, I almost did but there was no way I was going to laugh at myself.

"Laugh all you want. I have all right to be afraid of dogs "

"You should have seen him when he was younger. He jumped on a car cause a dog was chasing him." Derek said and before their earlier laugh could die down they erupted into another.

"I don't remember that." My face grew warm with embarrassment.

I had not wanted Osas to know I was afraid of dogs but all thanks to Derek she's beginning to know much more than that.

"Of course you do. It was to good to ever forget." He wiped the tears from his eyes.

They sure did have a good laugh from this. They looked like a team planning to disgrace me

"How did this conversation come about?" Derek asked.

"Well Seyi here was criticizing me about talking to dogs cause I was talking to my dog last night."

"Last night?" He tilted his head.

"She called me last night." I explained.

Derek held a mischievous grin. " You called him last night. Why?".

"I was drunk. Slip of the hands." She said almost immediately.

Was it actually a slip of the hand or she wanted to talk to me about the orphanage.

He still held the grin.

"Anyway...." Derek tone became a bit serious. " Ruth been ignoring my text. Is she in a relationship?".

I had earlier told Derek about Ruth and her child being in the hospital but now his acting like he doesn't know that.

" She's been quite uhm.. occupied but not  in a relationship."

"Of course he knows that cause I told him today that Ruth had to go to her son in the hospital since yesterday."

"You said it last night." I said to her since she might not remember.

"You guys did talk a lot last night." Derek said with a teasing tone.

"You can say that again." Osas said softly.

"I'm really interested in Ruth." Derek said.

"She has a child." I stated to him.

"So ?" He shrugged.

"So that means she is ready for a serious man not men nowadays that go around serving breakfast."

"You can't really blame the men for that." Derek said.

"What!. Who then do we blame?. You men are just heartless." Her tone rose.

"Says the women that go around for men's money."

"Well they won't go on the first place if they haven't been cheated on my various men who could not keep their middle man in check."

"The men must have fallen in love but for to the woman love o money probably ditched him."

They both looked like children arguing about who should take the last biscuit.

The once good team was suddenly attacking each other.

"Your calling women gold digger." She scoffed. " Talk about pot calling a kettle black. Cheating beasts."
