Maybe it was me but he seemed a bit... If I'm correct, disappointed.

What happened last night!?

"Nope. I hope I didn't say anything off?"

"You were talking to Asta." He chuckled and I felt something flutter in my stomach.

Asta... How much have I told him. He may not know that Asta is a dog.

"Asta and I are friends. He came to visit me yesterday."

He arched a brow. " Oh really?".

"Yeah."

"I do realise that Asta is your dog." He grinned.

I felt a rush of embarrassment. "You caught me but ever one talks to their dogs." I pouted. " Don't you ?"

"I don't have dogs."

I blinked." You look like a dog person." I smirked. " Are you afraid of dogs?"

"What, no. I love dogs." He said as she scratched the back of his neck.

"Why then don't you have dogs?".

"Hardly ever aro-" his phone began to ring and he glanced at it.

"Are you here ?" He asked as he connected the call.
"Okay, I'll come out." He disconnected and stood up.

"Derek is here." He walked towards the door and I couldn't help but admire his broad shoulders.

Seconds after Seyi came back with another familiar face. He was dressed in a sky blue t-shirt and black jeans.

"Hey." I flashed him a smile which he returned

"Thanks for having me."

Seyi settled back on the couch and Derek followed suit.

"So what are we talking about?" Derek asked.

He didn't look like the shy type but exactly the opposite.

"Seyi was just telling me that he loves dogs." I said and I watched as Derek glanced at Seyi with a look of incredulity.

"Since when did you start liking dogs?"  Derek asked.

"Since I left from Nigeria." He said softly.

Derek erupted in a laugh. " Don't mind him jare. someone that is afraid of dogs." He said in between his laugh.

"Your afraid of dogs?" I voiced out my disbelief as I tried to Stiffle my laugh.

Seyi pursed his lips." You guys can laugh at me all you want but those creatures are wild beasts."

I and Derek erupted into another laugh. " He said wild beasts." Derek said.

"Osas talks to dogs." Seyi blurted out.

"That's perfectly normal Seyi."

"Your just taking her side."

"Actually there was a time before I got Asta, my dog when I was searching for a dog, I saw a German shepherd and you won't believe what I did next. you guys should guess."

"You wanted to buy it." He said.

"No."

"You spoke German to it." Derek said.

"Don't be dumb Derek. Why would she speak German to a dog ?" Seyi inquired Flashing him a don't -be- dumb look.

"Because it was a German shepherd." I said with a look of obviously.
