"Why was Aki even there?" Ava asked you while also taking a sip from her drink, since you and her decided to go out in town after school
"I don't know and I think he also saw me" you responded before covering your face with your hands to hide your embarrassment
"And ? You're allowed to go out it's not like he has a say in what you do" Ava shrugged
"Yeah... I guess you're right, and to be honest it wasn't all that bad since I had the opportunity to go over at Yoshida's place" you started smiling which lit up your best friend's curiosity
"You two are really becoming close"
"Yeah I think so too, but I don't know he's kinda weird like he found me last night when I didn't tell him where I was" even though you didn't talk about it too much with Yoshida, you still felt like that was weird
"I told you to be careful...seriously girl" Ava had a rather slightly worried expression on which made you feel like you just said something you shouldn't have
"No need to worry maybe that was just a coincidence, I'm not gonna categorize him as a stalker from the get go" you said in an amused tone trying to defuse the tension
"Haven't you heard the news ? There's been a bunch of disappearance recently and they even talked about a potential serial killer it's not a joke"
You weren't looking at Ava and just kept playing with your spoon
"If Yoshida was a serial killer he would've killed me the first time we met or even yesterday so don't worry" you calmly tried to reassure your friend
"I know that but be careful, you know human trafficking isn't like in the movies. It's not just being kidnapped by some random dudes, sometimes it's young men that hangs out with young girls to gain their trust and after a while once they're confident that the girl trust them that's when they'll get you into their trafficking"
You let out a sigh before giving Ava one good look "you're a good friend, and I might say you're also not dumb" you started laughing before she also joined you
"You know what? you should meet him" you joyfully added before bringing out your phone
"Pffff poor guy he just met you and now you're making him meet your best friend, he's gonna runaway" she amusingly said before finishing her drink
"You think so ?" You hesitated as you looked at his contact on your phone (Yoshi🦖)
Ava only shrugged, letting you make the choice on your own
"No I think it's a good idea at least, we'll settle whether he's trustworthy or not" you smiled before calling him
The phone rang a few times and you started expecting that he wouldn't answer until you heard him
"Hello"
"Hiiii you answered!" You excitedly said
"I didn't answer you once.... you shouldn't be surprised that I answer my phone"
"Yeah you're right"
"So how are you doing ?"
When he asked you that you felt your cheeks get flustered a little bit but you successfully shrugged it off
"I'm fine thanks! And you ?"
After you answered Ava started signaling to you to hurry up and to skip the chitchat
"Yeah I'm fine too" he answered before you abruptly added
"I was just wondering if you wanted to come hang out with me and Ava someday"
You bit your lower lips in apprehension of his answer
"You mean your friend?"
you rolled your eyes at his question before saying "Don't act like you don't know her"
"No I'm just surprised that you would ask me that"
"Is that a yes or no?"
"Depends, when you want to hang out ?"
"I don't know, after school"
"I actually work so if you don't give me a date I won't be able to know for sure"
"Well just say when you're free and we will do with it"
Ava started getting impatient so you put your hand over the microphone before moving forward your face to talk to her
"He's acting like a princess I swear" you rolled your eyes
"Just tell him to join us now let's get it over with" Ava responded
When you put the phone back over your ear you heard Yoshida calling your name multiple times
"Hey if you're free right now why can't you just join us ?"
"Huh? but I just told you that I might not have some work to do tomorrow so I'll be free then"
"it's settled then if you don't work tomorrow we can go out tonight all together!"
Ava gave you a thumbs up whereas you could hear a deep sigh on the phone
"I can't today"
"Why not ? It's already 6pm, don't tell me you work night shifts"
"It depends I don't have a fixed schedule, they just call me and I go"
"What type of job is even that" you said visibly annoyed
"The type that pays, now if that's the only thing you wanted to ask me I guess we're done"
Ava let out a sigh before taking the phone from your hand
"Hey Ava's talking, we're going out tonight to the Neon Nights later, that's the nightclub near the mall in case you didn't know. So if you're not working you can come if not that's fine, byeeeee"
She hung up immediately after which left you baffled
"What was that about ?" You asked as you took your phone from her hand
"He's a man he should know what he wants" Ava said through a chuckle
"What the hell? he told me tomorrow was fine we could've saw him then" you were slowly getting more annoyed "and what are you talking about going out tonight? We didn't say anything about some night out and did you forget we literally got so much homework to do"
"Come on, we could just go there for a few hours and then leave it's not that deep and how about you come over to my house we do our homeworks and when we're finished we can go!"
You weren't all that into the idea since you already went out yesterday but the idea of finishing all your homework tonight was just too tempting and you knew that working all by yourself wasn't your thing
"Okay but we better finish everything or I'm not going" you said giving her a serious look
"No problem" Ava mischievously responded
