You walked for a while before going to your favorite spot in the city, it was a cafe that didn't seem very welcoming at first glance but you knew the owner from way back when you first got into high school

He had a very popular bar at the time but after a divorce with his wife he had to sell the place

A little after he opened a cafe in a quiet part of the city not a lot of people came here, mostly old men to drink coffee and watch horse race

You knew it closed at midnight so you had at least an hour and a half left

You went there and only ordered a strawberry sirop as you waited for time to pass

You sat at the table that was near the window so you just kept looking through it

After a while you just rested your head over your arms on the table with your face turned towards the window

You were getting sleepy but the noise of the door opening woke you up a little bit only for your eyes to get droopy right after

You closed your eyes and slowly started drifting away before a voice brought your attention back

"How long are you gonna stay here?"

The voice startled you which made you raise your head abruptly

Only to find yourself facing him,

Yoshida

Here he was sitting right in front of you

Your eyes widened as you were left speechless by his sudden presence

"H-how did you know?" You stuttered

"A magician never reveals his tricks"

You were actually getting scared by Yoshida at this point and he could tell by your worried expression

"I actually come here quite often so I decided to get something before going home but I guess luck was on my side since I found you"

He had this neutral expression on, that made him seem so cold but when he spoke it felt like he was somewhat nice

You lowered your head to look at your drink since you didn't have anything else to say

You weren't looking to talk so you just waited again

"Are you ok?" Yoshida asked as he put himself at ease on the chair and crossed his arms together

"Yeah yeah I'm fine" you answered while slowly stirring your drink with the straw

"You didn't sound like it back then"

You paused for a moment before letting out a sigh

"Have you ever been in love before?"

Your question surprised him but once he realized you were genuinely asking he quietly answered

"Yeah, once"

Even though his answer lit up your curiosity you continued

"Same, it was last year for me"

Yoshida kept looking at you and calmly waited for you to continue

"I didn't like him first you know... he wasn't very talkative and all but after a while i just felt it. "

You paused as you searched for the best way to explain your situation

"I fell in love with him out of the blue. I fell for his kindness and he also did fall for me so we dated" you were so absorbed by what you were telling that yoshida hesitated whether he should let you continue or not
