Ma'am Coleen assigned us to perform various songs connecting to language learning and the English language. We sang each to the tunes of various popular singers, including Taylor Swift. I sang to the tune of Fearless. To name a few, Ainah sang to the tune of another Taylor Swift song "Ours", whilst Marione sang to a song by Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne titled "Rather Be". Most of our voices were beautiful. Each of us did well during this performance.

However, we had continued our activity today involving music in EEL001 (Translation), which was on hold due to the southwest monsoon and last week's cancellation of classes (due to Super Typhoons Goring and Hanna)

However, we had continued our activity today involving music in EEL001 (Translation), which was on hold due to the southwest monsoon and last week's cancellation of classes (due to Super Typhoons Goring and Hanna). In other words, we had to sing the original language of a song and immediately translate it to either Tagalog or English, depending on the original song's language.

We did well on our parts, each. To name a few, I performed "Sagot sa Dalangin" by Maricris Garcia, which was from a medical drama on GMA. Marione, on the other hand, peformed "I'm Not the Only One" by Sam Smith. Den Derrick (de Vera) performed "Fly Me to the Moon" by Frank Sinatra. Ainah performed "You" by The Carpenters. Each of our voices were beautiful. It was a quite a success because we have overcome our communication barriers.

When we all recited the poem "The Congo" before all of us left the building for the night, some of the parts had singing, so it was sort of like another musical number for us
