In the midst of an ostensibly ordinary day at Hogwarts in 1977, an air of tension hovered over the castle grounds, heightened by the looming specter of an impending war. The prospect of returning home for the holidays weighed heavily on the minds of students for the first time in years, a departure from the usual excitement, marred by the uncertainty of whether everyone would be present the following year. Despite these apprehensions, the Great Hall resonated with laughter, a testament to the resilience of the magical community in the face of impending challenges.

As if Hogwarts could ever have an entirely normal day, the grand doors swung open, ushering in wizarding families, whether or not they currently had a student enrolled. Confusion etched the faces of those without children at the school, met with mere shrugs from others. It was an undeniable truth that no one possessed the answers to the unfolding mystery.

"What is this, a family reunion?" Sirius Black's seemingly relaxed tone belied the internal panic discernible to those close to him.

"Like you would be invited to that," retorted Bellatrix without hesitation.

"What are you all doing here?" queried the headmaster, exchanging a confused look with the staff members.

"I don't know, I wouldn't be here if I had a choice, that's for sure."

"We just appeared outside."

"Well, we got letters."

"We were forced."

Amidst the cacophony of conversation, a bright, blinding light engulfed the hall, accompanied by the sound of footsteps hitting the floor. As the light receded, the silhouettes of individuals standing became discernible. Those at the forefront, judging by the heated exchanges, appeared to share a history fraught with conflict.

"What did you do?"

"What did I do? You're the ones who always cause trouble."

"Really, us?"

"Are we sure that we have the same memories of what happened this year?"

As the light fully dissipated, a handful of children and adults materialized, most appearing to be of Hogwarts age, some even adorned in school uniforms. A handful seemed slightly older than students but not quite adults, while others were fully grown. No one in the hall recognized them, giving rise to perplexing questions and confusion. One thing for certain: no one in the hall knew what had happened or what was going on. Some speculated that they were seeing older versions of themselves.

The group of strangers swiftly realized that things were even more peculiar than initially perceived. The Great Hall, which had most certainly lost its recent battle scars, stood in pristine condition. Adding to the perplexity, Dumbledore occupied his usual spot, very much alive.

"Are we sure the funeral was for the right person?"

"I'm pretty sure that a certain someone caused his death."

"Okay... moving on."

"What am I lying about?"

"No, but dude seriously it's not the right time."

"Didn't realize there were particular times to mention it."

Another brilliant light appeared, fading away more rapidly than the first, leaving a letter in Professor McGonagall's hands.

Dear students and teachers of Hogwarts, both past, present, and future,

You have all been forced here to witness the lives of some members of the future generation. The aim is to prevent the second and first wizarding wars from occurring. Yes, there have been two, and one might think that you would learn from your mistakes, but no. You all need to make significant changes so that the future generation can experience the childhood they deserve. They are unaware of whose lives will be shown or what will unfold. Consider it a surprise when those scenes appear. Yes, scenes. The memories have been transformed into a delightful little movie series. Magic is inactive in this room, so enjoy being Muggles for a while. I might make it permanent, depending on my mood. Also, fun fact: you can't leave the room until all the movies have been watched, unless you receive another letter saying otherwise. Again, it really depends on my mood. So, if the new members could introduce themselves, that would be amazing. You don't have a choice, so have fun.
