Leonard at the moment is currently cleaning out his sidearm having taken it apart. His hands are all greasy with specks of black on them, it's a decent distraction whenever he feels annoyed or bored.
His attention is gained seeing Maria entering holding her laptop.
"Hey Maria, what brings you here?" Leonard asks with Maria setting her laptop before him as he looks at it seeing information on the faceless and how they captured another US military ambassador, this time down in South Africa. "They must really hate these ambassadors."
"No kidding, thing is I couldn't even look into Wheeler or Davis... Their files are closed and I can't even look into who closed them." Maria explains tapping her finger against the table.
Even though Leonard is just a seal, he finds that part to be suspicious.
"So they got something to hide? And the faceless have a bone to pick with them?" Leonard asks earning a smile from Maria.
"You'd make a good CIA agent Leo, anyway my contacts are tracking the group as we speak... I was about to show this to six." Maria says.
"Let's show her this then." Leonard says quickly putting his sidearm back together.
The two head to six's office presenting the information to her as she is tapping her finger against her desk finding the Intel curious.
"Interesting that this group has targeted military ambassadors, first Wheeler and now Davis." Six points out eventually looking towards Maria. "Were you able to discern why the ambassadors are being targeted?"
"I have a theory, the ambassadors have their files closed so they're hiding something that must relate to the faceless." Maria expresses with Leonard standing there in agreement.
Six hums to herself and looks towards the two telling them to get their gear while she gets a team together. Leonard and Maria take their leave to head for their armories.
"Ready for fieldwork cousin?" Leonard asks since Maria doesn't participate in ground operations much.
"Of course I am, covert ops might be my bread and butter but I can still do ground ops just fine, try not to be a hero out there alright?" Maria asks as Leonard nods.
Leonard is getting dressed in his multicam seal uniform with the sleeves rolled up as he puts on kevlar gloves closing his hands a few times making sure they're on properly. Leonard begins loading magazines for his M4A1 rather quickly since he's done this well over a thousand times.
The clicking of the bullets entering the mag is all he can hear. His thoughts are intercepted hearing somebody knock on his armory as he turns seeing Buck, operator from the JTF2 who he hasn't interacted with that much.
"Leo right? I'm Buck, I've been assigned as the team's leader. Just wanna know if you're good with following as I know you led your own seal team." Buck says.
"Oh you got nothing to worry about man, if anything I'm glad I'm not leading a team for once." Leonard says finishing loading the magazines. "But who else am I working with?"
Buck motions him to follow which he does eventually meeting with the rest of team.
"I'm sure you're already familiar with Valkyrie, we also got Thatcher and Sledge from the SAS. Ash and Thermite from the FBI. Blitz from the GSG-9 and my fellow JTF2 operator Frost." Buck introduces with Leonard nodding towards them saying he looks forward to working with them.
Hellcat eventually arrives introducing herself and begins informing them of the mission and primary objective to extract ambassador Davis.
"Your contacts count how many hostiles we'll have to deal with?" Thatcher asks impatiently.
