"Dude, chill!" Jake gawks, snatching the drink away from his friend. He eyes Sunghoon with a raised brow, "What's with him this morning?"

The youngest of the three only shrugs in response.

"Sorry," Jay smiles sheepishly once recovered, "I'm kind of in a rush right now."

"Yeah, no kidding." Sunghoon drawls.

Jay flicks him on the forehead with a scowl. And just before Sunghoon is able to retaliate - which would no doubt lead to at least 15 minutes of playful sparring, speaking from experience - Jake slaps him on the wrist with a tut.

"No fighting on my bed, come on!" He whines, "I tucked the corners in and everything this morning!"

"Sorry, mom." Jay teases.

Jake rolls his eyes, "So, where are you rushing off to?"

Jay lets out a huff, straightening his jacket in the reflection of the window. "I don't even know. Mom wants me to meet up with someone I knew back in the States," He adjusts his hair with a few flicks of his hand through the dark tresses, "Apparently she just transferred."

"In the last semester of 12th grade?" Sunghoon frowns, "That's weird."

"Right? I was thinking that too!" Jay says, "This girl was a total wildcard in middle school, bro. Used to help me ruin my mom's rose bushes and shit."

Sunghoon snickers, "This should be fun..."

"I'm dreading it, actually." Jay admits with a sigh, "It's been, like, almost a decade... It's gonna be so awkward."

"You'll be fine," Sunghoon assures.

"And speaking of total wildcards," Jake pipes up, suddenly remembering something, "You guys won't believe what happened to me yesterday."

The other two eye him curiously, urging him to go on.

"Okay. So I was walking around campus with Chaeyoung in the afternoon-"

"With Chaeyoung." Sunghoon repeats with a teasing wiggle of his brows, "Like, on a date?"

"We're not dating." Jake rolls his eyes, "You do realize she's my co-president, right? Of course we're going to be hanging out."

"You're not not dating," Jay counters, "I think I speak for everyone when I say we all see this one coming from miles away."

Jake scrunches his nose, "And who the hell is 'everyone'?"

"Oh, Jaeyun..." Sunghoon places a hand on his shoulder in mock-empathy, "Everyone."

"Irrelevant." Jake swats his hand away with a huff, "Back to my story! We were walking out of the main building, right by that sign they put up last week. Y'know, about staying off the grass?"

"Annoying ass sign." Jay feels the need to grumblingly interject, "And if I'm late to all my morning classes - you know what to blame!"

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever," Jake chuckles, "So there was this girl. Never seen her before in my life, mind you. She was walking down the path, and then I saw her stop. And read the sign. And proceed to step over it right after! Like, what?!"
