Dom narrowed his eyes. "Well if somebody would help me I would have grabbed them!"

Kane, with his eyes on Dom's overflowing plate, quipped, "Should have asked for help."

"I did!" Dom said as he slowly set the snacks down.

David struggled with the projector wires, muttering, "This is like untangling my life decisions." Veronika, with her artsy vibe, tried to help but somehow made the chaos worse.

I pointed at the mess, saying, "I think the cables are tangled a bit."

Veronika gave me a "no shit" look.

"Can't we just fucking connect the laptop to the TV?!" David asked with frustration.

"No!" Cheryl disagreed. "It won't be as much vibe as this! And I bought this projector from Amazon. I have to try it."

David turned to Kane. "Aren't you the one who is supposed to be good with tech?"

Kane shrugged as he casually ate his chips. "Maybe, but why would I stop this fun." He gestured to the mess that David and Veronika made.

Dave clenched his fists and continued working on the projector. Not long and it was surprisingly working.

The movie began, and Dom with Cheryl jumped at every jump scare, their screams hitting those dog-whistle frequencies. I mockingly imitated their screams, "Did a banshee just invade our movie night?"

"Shut the fuck up," Dom mumbled embarrassed. He moved his hand to rest behind Cheryl as if trying to calm her down throughout the movie.

Cheryl, analyzing the plot, said, "At this point, even the twist ending can't save this movie from being as predictable as my sleep schedule."

Veronika spilled her drink during an intense scene, and Dom, in solidarity, knocked over his popcorn.

Dom being Dom he... He continued eating the knocked-over popcorn.

And David being the lucky one endured the most damage. As the cold drink spilled over him he instantly straightened.

"Oh no!" Cheryl quickly checked the mess. She sighed. "Thank God," she said once she realized it didn't go on the couch or carpet but only on Dave.

Veronika put a hand over her mouth trying not the laugh.

"You think this is funny, eh?" David smirked and jumped on Veronika. He hugged her tightly so the sticky liquid would go on her too.

"No!" Veronika shrieked with laughter.

Dom rolled his eyes playfully. "Get yourselves a room."

As the credits rolled, Kane looked at the mess and sighed, "Time to adult and clean up." However, he quickly stopped talking when he saw Veronika and David sleeping close to each other, but fighting over a blanket.

Cheryl was sleeping on Dom's shoulder and Dom had his head in a really, really uncomfortable position.

That will hurt in the morning...

I was slowly drifting off but Kane lightly nudged me. "Hey," he whispered.

I stretched my arms above my head. "What?" I asked and looked at him.

He motioned at the back door. "Come."

Kane stood up and quietly walked out the back door.

I blinked, still half-asleep, but followed after him.

I mumbled, "Why'd you wake me up? I was almost asleep too."

Kane chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "Well, you know how it is, Sienna. It's like we always end up having these starlit moments, and it's become sort of our thing."

I tilted my head, a playful smile forming on my lips. "Our thing, huh? You're such a sap, Kane."

He grinned, his eyes reflecting the starlight. "Guilty as charged. But you know, I figured we've had enough of these moments to fill a lifetime."

My confusion melted into a warm realization. I noticed Kane's nervous energy and decided to tease him a little. "Kane, you're acting weird. Are you okay?"

Kane let out a laugh, his cheeks slightly flushed. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. It's just that, well, these stars remind me of how much you mean to me. Every time we're here, I feel like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be."

My heart fluttered at his words, and I felt a rush of emotions. Kane's vulnerability was endearing. "You're being all romantic on me now, huh?"

Kane grinned sheepishly. "I can't help it, Sienna. Being with you makes me want to be a better person, and I can't ignore how much you've come to mean to me."

My teasing smile softened into a gentle one. I reached out and held his hand. "You're pretty amazing yourself, you know.

"And to be fair I think you bring the better in me. You are just yourself." I smiled.

Kane's grip on my hand tightened, his voice sincere. "Sienna, I care about you more than I can put into words. And I'm not sure if you feel the same way, but I can't keep these feelings to myself any longer."

My heart raced as the gravity of his words sank in. I squeezed his hand and looked into his eyes, my voice softening. "Kane, you're not the only one feeling this way."

A wide smile broke across Kane's face, his nervousness dissipating. "Really?"

I nodded, a blush spreading across my cheeks. "Really."

I chuckled and lowered my head. "I mean it's not like I fully understand the emotions I'm feeling when I'm around you, but I'm willing to learn." I looked up, our eyes meeting.

Kane leaned in, brushing his fingers against my cheek. "Sienna, can I be your boyfriend? I want to share even more starlit moments with you."

The question sounds unreal. Because you never hear anyone ask this question. It's always 'Can you be my girlfriend?'

At that moment I knew that I'm making the right decision.

I nodded, my voice barely above a whisper. "Yes, Kane. I'd love to."

I swear I could feel our hearts racing in sync as we stood there, caught in a moment of raw emotion.

His hand gently cupped my face, his thumb tracing the curve of my cheek.

The world around us faded into a blur as we leaned in, our lips trembling with anticipation. Time seemed to slow as our breaths mingled, and then, in a rush of longing, our lips met in a passionate kiss. It was a collision of desire, a symphony of shared feelings, and in that stolen moment, we found a connection that spoke volumes without a single word.

As we pulled apart I was startled to hear a faint rumble come from his chest. I glanced up to see his eyes darken. His desire was definitely rising.

I bet something else is rising too...

I grinned but fought the urge to tease him out loud.

His hands wrapped around my waist and he dragged his nose across mine to which I laughed.

Wanting the moment to drag and last longer I hugged him back.

As I breathed in his incredible cologne my eyes fluttered shut.

Kane hummed in approval as he swayed us from side to side.
