Ghostbur

(yeah so I haven't been as active in this fandom as I usually am, so here is a story that you don't rly have to read, but here it is, it's a Ghostbur reaction oneshot, hence the title, what reaction you might be wondering, it's his reaction to Dream's death since it is a Dreambur book after all, anyways, here ya go)

Mine/Author's POV

'no, Dream, he-he's'  "He's dead" Ghostbur mumbled to himself

He had been restocking his blue and just wandering around with sheep happily until that message  popped up in chat

Tears were streaming down his cheek, burning him, but he didn't care, Dream the one person that he knew Alivebur also liked, Dream was a person that he himself liked

Sure, Ghostbur liked practically everyone, but he liked Dream in a different way, he didn't understand why until recently, when he had asked Techno, his older brother, why he liked Dream in a different way than he liked other people, why he liked Dream a lot

This was how the conversation went

Let's rewind time a bit (yes that was a reference to  a Derivakat song, watcha gonna do about it)

"Hey Techno, why do I like Dream more than I like the others?" Ghostbur asked Techno                   Techno  simply responded with "you're in love with him" in his same as usual monotone voice 

Ghostbur practically chocked on his non-existent saliva "in Love ??" He began "What do you mean ?" he asked yet again with a confused look on his face

"you know, Love, like you wanna spend the rest of your life with him, wanna do stuff with him, I honestly find it weird but other people seem to find it normal so yeah" He explained

Love. 

he liked the thought of it, he did want to spend the rest of his non-existent life with him, and he did want to  go searching for blue with him, maybe he really was in Love with Dream

Aaaaand, it's a wrap, pack it up boys

So for him lose Dream, his world was shattered, because Dream the one that he loved in which the love was not platonic, had died, in a way, it was good that this happened when he was getting blue, 'cause he was going to need it and a bit more.

After crying for a bit more, he sat up from his position on the ground, grabbed Friend's lead, and began to head to the log cabin that he called home, though he hadn't stopped crying yet.

once he got home Phil, his dad, had almost immediately hugged him, he began wiping away Ghostbur's tears as he knew that the tears burned him, just like his love for Dream still burnt

Philza himself was also crying, due to Dream having been like a son to him, he was one of the only ones that he hadn't officially adopted as his own because Puffy had got to him first

(thank god for that or else the story plot would've been flushed down the toilet like a big shit-)

Ghostbur hugged Philza back, and his tears that were originally like a waterfall, had lessened
now his tears has stopped burning him as much, and he began to talk to Philza

"Phil, why did Dream have to die" He asked
"I don't know mate, but it happened, and now we just have to accept it" Philza responded

"But Phil ,will Dream become a ghost, cuz if he did become a ghost then maybe we could still play together" He spoke with hope in his eyes

"Well, he might become a ghost since the chances are 50/50, but don't get your hopes up yet" Phil said

"Ok" Ghostbur responded, hope still in his eyes
I mean like, how could he not have hope, if there was a chance that the one he liked could still interact with them, even of it was a 50/5p chance, there was still a chance

But for now
They needed to live as they usually would

So he them began to wonder
When was Tommy coming home, he had been gone for an awful lot of time

He better not have died again, but if he did, then Mumza would be happy that another one of her sons visited

But oh well, he was with Tubbo, so not much could've gone wrong

Since everything on the SMP was rather quiet since Dream went to prison

He hoped that Tommy knew qhat had happened.
