"she's sleeping, matt's in the shower," charlotte yawned. "hey, we're gonna head out to the lake house today if you wanna come with."

"ugh i so would but i start filming for this new show i got casted in today," lily said.

"what? which one?" charlotte excitedly asked.

"it's called 'the idol.'"

"cool, that's that HBO show, right?" olivia asked.

"yeah, it's supposed to be like this feministic show, but i think they switched the directors to sam levinson and the weeknd, so i wonder how that'll go, hopefully well though," lily smiled, getting nods of agreement.

"hey doesn't your dad direct some HBO show too?" olivia asked charlotte.

"yeah, uh he did both seasons of 'the white lotus' and he's doing the third as well i think," charlotte mumbled. "good thing he's not doing 'the idol' though because that would've been hell for you, lils."

lily chuckled, "yeah i bet. troye sivan is casted in it too, so your dad would probably kick him off the show."

the three girls laughed, charlotte definitely enjoying how they could all throw digs at her dad with no shame. maybe talking about him in this article would be way easier than she thought.

"yes, you made waffles," said a dark haired boy walking into the kitchen, shirtless and ruffling his hair with a towel. matthew reached to the plate of waffles olivia had made and went to grab one when she swatted his hand away. "what?"

"mine, get your own," olivia said, taking a bite and sneaking past him.

matthew rolled his eyes, sliding the bottle of syrup over to olivia for her.

"anyways," lily said, clasping her hands together. "i got a long drive to set so i'll see you all later," she said, kissing charlottes cheek as usual and grabbing her purse. "au revoir."

once lily slammed the door to a shut, charlotte left matthew and olivia to fight over waffles and went back upstairs to wake up gracie as it was 7:30 and she assumed she'd wanna get up at a good time before going to the studio. she crept into the bedroom, pulling her hood over her head and crawling into the bed. it surely wasn't the best way to wake a person up by cuddling on top of them and wrapping your arms around their warm torso, but to charlotte it was. she buried her head into gracie's shoulder and closed her eyes, humming as gracie's chest raised and she began to stir. she knew it was charlotte by the smell of roses and strawberry that filled the air around her.

"hmph?" her eyes were still closed as she placed her hand on the back of charlottes head, tangling her hand through her hair and lightly scratching her scalp.

"it's 7:30," charlotte mumbled.

"you're up before me?"

"our child asked me to make her waffles."

gracie chuckled, "who else is up?"

"just matthew. want me to make you some waffles too?"

gracie's eyes fluttered open, "not hungry yet," she rasped out. "you should get ready, we're gonna drive out at 8:30ish."

charlotte groaned, "so early."

"we'll do you wanna hear the song or not?" gracie smirked.

charlotte repositioned her head so her chin was on gracie's chest to look at her, "yes."

"then up," gracie huffed, sitting up and pushing charlotte off of her.

charlotte fell limp onto the other side of the bed, "should we stop by your house to grab your stuff for the lake?"
