An addition to the Crew

You: well then. Maybe I could get used to being apart of the crew.

I threw the cigarette outside my window, started my car and began to drive.

Some time later when you arrive

I reached some garages with cargo container seemingly left there. I parked my car and walked to the garage. I saw a door on the side and called on the intercom.

Main: ah your her come in.

The door opens and I walked in. The room had a couch a table and a room to the side with a netrunner set up, probably for kiwi. Main was seated on the couch same as Lucy and kiwi, Dorio was leaning against the wall behind them.

Main: so why do you want to meet?

You: for a new job.

I lit a cigarette.

Kiwi: can I have one?

You: sure.

I gave her a Cigarette and lit it for her.

Dorio: feel better kiwi?

Kiwi: now yes.

I gave a questioning Look to Dorio who understood.

Dorio: oh the riperdoc took her chigs and we couldn't get some.

You: mmh

Main: anyway what job?

You: just bring packages from point A to point B, hopefully without interruption but that is not likely.
Also we're is the other guy?

Main: Pilar is not here at the moment.

You: alright. Are you in?

Main: sure why not eddies are always good.

You: then let's go we will go with two cars yours and mine.

Main: if Dorio is driving I'm shooting and kiwi is in the back then Lucy will be with you.

As I predicted. I then saw Lucy give a look at Kiwi and in returned she just nobbed.

You: alright get ready.

I walked outside and leaned against the wall next to the door with another smoke. After me kiwi came out as well and also leaned against the wall next to me. I offered her a another smoke and she took it. We both looked into the distance.

Kiwi: there isn't much information about you.

You: yeah

Kiwi: it seems you just popped up out of nowhere a few years before you got to MaxTech.

You: that is more true then you think.

Kiwi: I won't ask but keep an eye on Lucy.

You: even if i work alone I know how to look out for people.

Kiwi: good.

You: do you wanna know?

Kiwi: I don't have anything from that.

You: alright well here

I held a out a cigarette box.

Kiwi: what do you want for it?

You: you don't have yours because of the ripper and I have two boxes.

She took the box and put it in her pocket.

Kiwi: weird. We smoke the same brand.

You: well I guess good for you then. So who is Lucy to you?

Kiwi: someone I'm teaching the ropes.

You: well she is quit capable.

Kiwi: yeah the hole reason I'm teaching her

You: I could teach her how to fight with the monowire.

Kiwi: maybe but that's not my decision, have to ask her for that.

You: do you know her past or did you just decided to teach her?

She gave me a quick side look before looking back into the distance.

Kiwi: wanna know her past?

You: just asking since you don't seem like a person that dose something like this often or at any point.

Kiwi: can't deny that but she is capable enough to to most things herself without help.

You: well that's  good but still I could tell as soon as I saw her she looked out of place.

Kiwi: she wasn't on many jobs and still has to get used to the merc live.

You: well never trust a sole in night city, the reason I work alone.

Kiwi: funny, same motive I live by.

You: yeah well you begin to understand that more and more the longer you live in this city.

Kiwi: something happen that you came to that.

You: nothing that everyone else in this city know doesn't know either.

I close my eyes and smoke the last bit of the cigarette before throwing it away.
A few seconds later the door opens and the rest of the crew came out.

Main: alright got everything settled let's role.

You: wait.

Main: what?

You: I'm not gonna apologize but the way I treated you yesterday.

Main: you like rookies who don't know how to hold a gun.

You: it was a test of your patients and how you would work with people who look down on you.

Main: fuck that. And what dose that mean.

You: it means that I like you guys and would like to join the crew.

Main: well three Netrunners on one team could be a problem.

You: true but I'm not just a netrunner.

Main: well why not but get one thing in your head-

You: your the boss I know I'm not from yesterday.

Main: well Dorio?

Dorio: oh man another icicle on the team we could open a ice cream shop.

Main: puhahaha right anyway let's role.

Main, dorio and kiwi walked to the van. Lucy and I walked to my car. We then began driving in the direction of the badlands.
