"IF YOU LEAVE, I will never forgive you." Manjiro brazenly blocked his brother from entering his chambers.

The former royal could only look at his brother with irritation. Everything that occurred until now has brought him to his wit's end and now he had Manjiro preventing him from escaping this hell. Even if he meant good intent, He wasn't planning on staying.

"Manjiro, step away,'' Izana said, voice strained. Izana stepped forward but so did manjiro. They glared at each other with evident determination and fury, content with having their way.

Manjiro pressed a fist on Izana's chest gently, urging him to take a step back. "What were you thinking making a scene?! Everything was going smoothly and you just have to-"

Izana couldn't help but scoff at his supposedly younger brother. Until now, he never questioned their relationship had not the nobles told him the long-hidden truth.

It pained him to find out that the people he grew up with weren't even related to him. How Shinichiro and Manjiro weren't his real biological brothers. And Emma wasn't his real sister. How he was the odd one out.

"Going smoothly you say? Had I not done that, the palace would have been burnt to ashes." Izana gritted his teeth as he abrasively shoved the youngest prince to the side so he could stride past.

"Don't get in my way, manjiro. I didn't do it for myself. I did it for (name)." Izana added, building up momentum and pushing the double doors leading inside his chambers.

Manjiro was hot on his trail, following him with earnest strides while desperately questioning him from behind. "Then you don't suppose that (name) will suffer too if you leave?!" Manjiro blurted, brash but desperate.

Izana picked up a stray bag from the corner and hurried to his closet, stepping on the broken shards of glass, wood and other materials he broke out of fury. He ignored manjiro and began to grab clothes and items blindly.

Manjiro had to be careful where he stepped for there were splinters and destruction painted in the corners of Izana's room. He didn't even have time to speak of it, as he was desperately trying to beg Izana to stay.

"(Name) is locked at the queen's palace. You have to go and see her.'' Manjiro insisted.

"What good will that do? I believe you're pleased that this is all going in your favour, arent you?" Izana's eyes reflected his overwhelming emotions as he stuffed his travel bag full of his clothes and trinkets.

Manjiro flinched, taken aback. "What... how could you say that? I don't want you to leave.." Manjiro stepped back with wide eyes and an unmistakable stab in the chest.

The youngest prince watched as the former crown prince turned to him slowly with a cold glare that failed to bring light to his lifeless lilac eyes that once held so much hope and warmth.

"Now that I'm leaving, you can chase after my ex-fiance all you want. What's stopping you from marrying her after you're crowned king?" Malice dripped from Izana's words as he blankly stared down at Manjiro with indifferent eyes.

"Brother.... how can you say that? Do you think that's what I want? That I'm happy that you'll leave so I can chase after (name). I love her but... I don't want it to be this way." Manjiro couldn't help but heave a bitter sigh.

"I- I can't believe what you are saying..." he trailed off. "Brother I can excuse your words because of your situation but please... don't think of my adoration for (name) to be that low, I want her to be happy."

"What do you think will become of her once Im gone?'' Izana slung the bag over his shoulder as he kicked away a crown blocking his path, sending it flying to a corner of rubbish.
