Kissed

"U-Uhh—"

I stopped when the door opened behind me. The two of us looked at the door. Silas mother came in that made me shivers on my spine. Nakataas ang dalawang kilay nito at diretso ang tingin sa kamay naming magkahawak.

I lowered my gaze and tried to remove my hands from Silas but his grip become more strong. Na tila ayaw niya akong pakawalan kahit ano man ang mangyari.

"She's here." She said in a cold tone while putting the brown bag she's wearing in the gray sofa.

Batid ko sa kan'yang mukha na hindi niya gusto na naroon ang presensiya ko. I don't know how I react after hearing her voice. If I'm gonna greet her or not. Hindi na lamang ako nagsalita dahil alam ko naman na kahit anong sasabihin ko ay hindi niya pa rin iyon magugustuhan. It's just better if I keep my silent.

"We are talking Mom. What are you doing here? Can you leave?" Silas said coldly to his mother.

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa sinabi niya sa ina nito. I understand that he and his mother had grudges with each other but I just can't believe him saying those words to his mom. Right in front of her face.

I could see the irritated face of his mom after hearing those words but she still leave right away. She didn't bother to check on Silas. She walked away without looking at his direction. Alam kung naiinis iyon sa inasta ng kan'yang anak. Who wouldn't be?

Nakahinga ako nang maluwag nang makitang umalis ang kan'yang ina. I quickly shifted my eyes to Silas.

"You shouldn't treat your mother like that, Silas. She's still your mother." I mumbled.

I heard him heaved a heavy sigh before nodding at me.

"Yeah, right. I'm sorry for acting asshole." He caressed my fingers.

"Say that to your mother. Not to me." My brows rose up.

"I really love it when you raised your brows like that. Nagmumukha kang snob at mataray. Mataray na maganda." A wicked smile form into his lips.

My heart skipped a bit for his sudden compliment to me. Talagang magaling na nga siya dahil nagagawa niya nang magbiro ng gan'yan.

"You. With your silly jokes." Napailing-iling kong sabi.

"What do you mean silly jokes? Don't you see I'm not joking here? Why don't you look at the mirror? To see how beautiful you are. See it for yourself, Eris." My chest thumped when I saw how serious he is while saying that.

I don't really appreciate my looks that's why it made me uncomfortable when someone is compliments me. I feel like it was just a lies. I believe that I'm not that beautiful enough to received those kind of compliments. I don't know. Or maybe I'm not just confident with my face.

"Whatever you say."

Umiwas ako ng tingin sa kanya dahil sa hindi maipaliwanag na dahilan. He chuckled. I feel him moved from his bed that made me look at him.

"Hey! Don't move yet! Hindi ka pa lubusang magaling!"

He just smirk at me.

"I'm fine. Sit here." Tinuro niya ang konting espasyo sa kama na hinihigaan.

I just follow him so he wouldn't move from his bed. I heard him chuckled when I sit there. I lowered my gaze to met his eyes. Pinanlisikan ko siya ng mata nang sinubukan niyang bumangon. But he immediately lay again while smiling like an idiot.

Kumunot ang noo ko nang makita ang iilang sugat sa kan'yang braso. I touch it that made him growled in pain. Kaya mabilis ko rin iyong binitiwan.

"Ow! Sorry!"
