Chapter 74

Gorgeous was an understatement, and I couldn't help but bite my lip while shaking my head at the sight of her. For a moment, I hadn't even noticed the gift bag in one hand and a single orchid in the other.

"Okay, first of all-" I held up a finger, walking backwards as Tina strolled inside. She wore an amorous grin while eyeing me from head to toe. "I told you no gifts, and second-" taking the flower from the hand she extended out to me, I sniffed it before continuing. "You must not want to leave this apartment, dressing like that."

Chuckling softly, she pressed her body against mine as I found my back thudded against the kitchen island. "I could say the same about you," she whispered with a smile, making my spine shiver. "Happy birthday Nicole..."

"Thank you," I muttered, now getting lost in her eyes. "But what happened to meeting at the place?"

"I wanted to take you instead...if that's alright with you?" I nodded, closing my smiling eyes as her hands snuck around my waist. "You about ready to go?"

"I am, actually," I said through a sigh, looking around my apartment. "My shoes are by the door."

"Well come on then," Tina smiled, pulling away to head for the door, but I held her arms around my waist so she'd look at me. "What?" she chuckled in confusion.

Eyeing her from head to toe, I leaned to kiss her lips. It was more of peck since the both of us wore lipstick or gloss, but I needed to feel them on mine, even just for a second.

"Oh my God, it's so good to see you again," Lauren quietly exclaimed as she hugged Tina who smiled wide into their embrace.

"You too. I've missed you all," she said before turning to hug Sade next.
