I was so sure Vicente was going to ask Mina but he didn't. I haven't talked to him since that day on the beach. Marcello said he was doing better so I'm happy.

"You look amazing Zaya." Mateo looks at my dress and hair proudly.

His heated eyes linger a little on my cleavage. I raise a eyebrow at him and he blushes.

"Thank you Mateo. I could say the same thing." It's my turn to trail my eyes down his suit. His black tux fits him perfectly as the napkin in his pocket matches the color of my dress.

Hours later were slow dancing to one of the last songs of the night. Prom was filled with drinking spiked punch, dancing and grinding, and Mateo whispering dirty things in my ear that he planned to do to me later.

"I love you so much I just can't help but become flustered anytime I see you." Mateo brings our foreheads together as my arms wrap tighter around his neck.

His firm arms fit on my waist perfectly.

He did what he promised later on. And god did I enjoy it.

Two rows left. Drew already went and smirked to everyone but his eyes remained on his girlfriend.

Flashback

"Mateo you can't check yet!" I scream out before he can open the package.

We're checking if we got into our dream college. He's been ansty and trying to open it but I'm too nervous.

"It's okay Zay. If we don't get in I'll transfer to whatever school you go to." Mateo reassures me.

"That doesn't seem healthy." I murmur.

"I don't care. Let's open them." He says, excited.

His eyes light up as we both open the thick orange packages.

We both quickly read the front page and my eyes light up as I realize what happened.

"You go first." I demand.

"Ladies first." He bites his lip.

"I got in!" We yell at the same time and we hug each other so tightly I can smell his aftershave from two days ago.

"I'm so happy Mateo." My words muffled by his shirt.

"I'm always happy when I'm with you." He muffles back.

I scream in excitement again and can't help but jump up and down. Happiness fills me up like a drug as we celebrate with a kiss.

His soft lips find mine once again and I sigh in content. To let you know, he does use Vaseline.

Nerves fill me once again as the person next to me stands. I realize that it's my turn and I walk the line in a haze. The people I pass on the isle smile and congratulate us all.

The people accept their diploma's and pause for a picture. Three people left.

My high school career flashed in front of my eyes. They always say that time moves fast when you're having fun but I didn't want it to move this fast. Tears fill my eyes at the memories I made and the friends I lost and found.
