One (part 4)

"No, thanks guys. You play. Good luck",he says slumping his shoulders due to the exhaustion from work and goes into his room. He crouches down to pick the frame that has fallen down. It was his and y/n's pricture, holding their x-box. Y/n looked so happy in that picture. It was her mesmerising smile that he would die for.

*flash back*
Barry's pov:

y/n slouched on the couch beneath her with a defeated sigh. "Ugh! Why is this gotta be damn hard?" she speaks out furiously and irritatedly. She was referring to the game  we were playing against each other. I sit down beside her and say, "It's not hard. You don't have practice, that's all y/n". "Seriously? I need practice to play that stupid game ?"she askes in an annoyed tone, looking at me with an annoyed look on her face. "Yeah, you seriously do",I say with a laugh by looking at her expression. "Who is gonna teach me then?"  she asks, wondering to herself."Why go looking for someone when the person is sitting right infront of you", I say to her with a wink. She sits up straight and asks, raising her eyebrows."You? You're gonna teach me?" "Who else do you think is sitting across you?" I say rolling my eyes at her.

She stands up and throws a cushion at my face saying," Well, then, come on, don't expect to learn it by myself." I groan and hit her back with the cushion and say, "Fine, I'm just gonna teach you the basics". She huffs and swears something that I can't hear and then says," Whatever Be quick now!" I smile teasingly,
knowing that I've annoyed her already. "Today's mission - accomplished" I mentally make a note to myself. I get up and tell her the basics and give her a demo, explaining how to play. After 15 minutes or so, I ask her to try it out. And believe me when I say  this, she is a fuckin' fast learner. I mean I've also taught others but none of them learnt it as fast as she did. I was so amazed by her.

"Wow! You've got quite some talent there, y/n," I say encouraging her. "Thanks", she replies lowly. Then she speaks up again, "Now, you just see how I'm gonna defeat you!" "Oh yeah, sure", I say challenging her. We played two rounds, with me winning each round. She groans in disbelief. "No way!", she says. "Okay, this is the last round", I tell her. And then, this time, miraculously she somehow, wins this round. I
was shocked yet impressed by her. She puts the play station down on the table and jumps up & dawn with happiness. I swear to God. I've never seen her glowing this much with absolute happiness. It was really comforting, seeing her smile brightly. I wanted to capture this moment, so I Open the camera app in my mobile and take a picture of her as she was looking at the screen. smiling proudly. I walk upto her and then ask one of my friends to take a picture of both of us. It was literally, truly phenomenal to watch her beaming as the moonlight. "I'd always lose to see that happiness" I whisper to her such that she couldn't hear me.
*end of flashback*

Barry smiles to himself, recalling the memery whilst looking at the photo-frame in his hands. Just then, my his friend walks in. "Dude, you're still stuck onto that girl?If I remember correctly, she broke your heart, man", Ben says placing a hand on his shoulder. Barry sighs and tells him. "Nah,mate! I can't get over her for some. reason. I think I've fallen so hard and so deeply for her" "Yes, Barry, you have. You have", Ben smiles sadly at him.
