Mya" get down here now,breakfast is the best ready"

*BEEP, BEEP, BEEP* my alarm clock goes off I turn round and look at the clock it's 7:00 AM, I groan as I hit the snooze button on the top of the clock. The smell of pancakes filling my room, making me drag myself out of bed,my belly rumbling I walked slowly downstairs to the kitchen to greet my mum and dad at the breakfast table. The cold tiles beneath my feet quickly waking me up as i rush over to my seat,

"Morning mum..Morning Dad" I say before I begin to fill my plate with pancakes, like always i top them with syrup. My stomach growling again at the sight.
"So Mya are you looking forward to school today" my dad asks
"Hmm..I guess so I'm meeting Katie at the bus stop this morning" I say while scoffing my face with pancakes and syrup.
"No need sweetie, I'll drop you off I have a meeting with a shareholder at 11 so I have time to kill, Katie can come too if she wants to'' I did a mini fist bump in the air, making my dad chuckle and my mum smile while shaking her head at me.
"Aw thanks dad ill ring Katie and let her know" I pulled out my phone before realising i was still at the table, i glanced up at my mum quickly, pleading her with my eyes to let me ring my friend. She only glared at me but nodded her head anyway.

Katie picked up her phone on the second ring, which wasn't surprising as she is always on her phone. "hey Katie instead of getting the bus my dad has offered to drive us to school"
"Yay so glad we don't have to get on a smelly bus"
"Be here for 8:30" I said trying to keep the conversation short and not wind up my mum.
"Okay gurlll bye"

Once I've hung up the phone I rush up stairs straight to the bathroom to jump in the shower as soon as the water starts running like a waterfall over my body I begin to hum a song my mum used to sing to me when I was a little girl...as I daze off into my own little world I smile as I remember my childhood. Not a lot has changed really, I'm still close with my parents, and i love pancakes in the morning like i did when i was five.

I snapped out of my daydream by a bang on the bathroom door

"Mya it's 8'o clock darling" my mother shouts into the door
"Why didn't anyone tell me the time earlier I'm not going to have enough time to put my makeup on"
"Well you better hurry up and stop moaning!' My mum says with her tone much colder than before, well that's one thing that's changed. She's definitely gotten a lot more moody, it's like trying to walk on hot coal around her.

I rush out the shower wondering what's wrong with her walking into my room, I quickly picked out an outfit so that i would have enough time to hopefully get some makeup on my face, and be ready when Katie gets here. I decided on top shop jeans with rips, and a plain black top with my black timberland boots. I managed to get one last look in the full length mirror hanging on the back of my door before i heard the doorbell ring.

*BUZZ, BUZZ,BUZZ*

As soon as I heard the doorbell I knew it was Katie,so I rushed my makeup skipping my foundation routine putting liquid eyeliner on with my favourite Mac lipstick i was finally ready for my first day back. I was so nervous, I know i'ver met all these people before but it's the first day back. I have to make a good impression, everyone has to be impressed.

"Mya are you ready! "Katie says but it's seems like she's shouting
"I'm coming" I say as i shut my bedroom door out my Louis Vuitton bag on my shoulder and walk down the stairs to greet Katie

"Morning Katie". I'm in such a good mood I practically jump down the last stairs, wuickly giving her a hug before pulling on my denim jacket.
"Morning, ugh school is going to drag I'm not looking forward to this"
"Have you done the English assignment?"
"What English assignment?" Her face drops, as she becomes slightly worried about getting a detention on the first day. Just like Katie not to do the most important assignment.
" I can't be bothered to explain it so I'll just show you" as i pull my bag off my shoulder and my assignment out of its plastic wallet
"Here, make sure you give it back okay"
"Okay" a smile of relief filled katies face
"yeah I'm a lifesaver, thank me later make sure you change some of the essay''
"Thanks your a diamond" She says already flipping through the pages in her hand.

"Ready to go girls!"
"Yeah let's go dad"
Today's going to be great, I can just feel it!
