Chapter 14

I heard him sniffing while his shoulder were shaking. My lips parted, I felt liquid gush down on my shoulder. He was crying while hugging me tightly. Pati na rin ako ay nahawa dahil sa pag-iyak ni Silas. We are now both sobbing. Like we're cheering up each other.

"I a-am s-so d-damn scared..." He sniffs again.

I surveyed the whole room where I am sitting. The space of the room is huge. If I compare my room to this room— this is two time bigger than mine.

The interior design of the room were modern. Kulay gray ang pintura ng buong kwarto. The room were good but it's feel empty. Ngunit nagmukhang malungkot ang buong silid, isang king size bed ang naroon at isang malaki na built-in cabinet. I'm not in the hospital. I wonder where I am? Is this Silas house? 

Ngayon ko lang na tingnan ng maayos ang kabuan dahil naging abala ako kanina sa nangyayari. Bumukas ang pintuan at iniluwa no'n si Silas na may hawak-hawak na pagkain.

Pinasadahan ko siya ng tingin habang abala ito sa pag-aayos ng pagkain at plato sa mesa. My lips pursued when I notice that he's still wearing a pink hello kitty apron. Oh, this man is a fan of hello kitty? I giggled.
And I couldn't believe that he knows how to cook. I thought he was just a spoiled brat who wait for cooked foods made by his made.

Napatigil ito sa ginagawa nang mapansin na nakanguso at nakatitig ako sa kan'ya. But my smile wider more when he cross his arms in front of me. I tried to suppress it but I failed. A loud laugh escape from my mouth while my eyes is on his apron.

"What? Is there something funny?" His brows were furrowed.

His no clues that he's wearing cute apron. Napasimangot ito sa akin kaya itinuro ko na ang suot nito na apron. He shifted his eyes to the apron then his sight go back to me.

"What's wrong with wearing this? Tsk." He seated on the chair.

"Nothing. It just looks cute on you." I laughed again.

Halos sumakit na ang t'yan ko kakatawa pero siya ay nakasimangot lamang sa akin. Kaya tumigil na rin ako at tumahimik.

"Let's just eat. Ilang araw ka ng walang kain. You need to eat more so your energy will come back." He mumbled.

Nilagyan ni Silas ng kanin ang plato ko. Napaawang ang bibig ko nang makita na halos mapuno na iyon dahil sa dami ng nilagay niya. I tilted my head. And take note it's just rice only. Wala pang ulam doon. I stop his hand when I realize he will not stop putting rice on my plate If I will not stop him.

"It's enough Silas. Hindi ko na mauubos 'yan. Pinapakain mo ba talaga ako o pinaparusahan?" Nakasimangot kong tanong sa kan'ya.

"Bu—"

"No buts." I rolled my eyes.

"Fine. Ok let's now eat." He placed a viand on my plate.

He offer me different dishes but I love more the chicken curry. Binabantayan ko halos lahat ng galaw niya habang kumain. Napapangiti ako kapag nilalagyan nito ang pinggan ko ng ulam o di kaya lagyan ng tubig ang baso ko kapag napansin niya na wala ng laman iyon o wala na akong ulam sa plato. He will stop eating if he notice it.

"Btw, where's this place? Is this your house?" Tanong ko bago sumimsim ng tubig sa baso.

We're already done eating our lunch when I ask him. Inaayos na lang namin ang mga plato at ang mesa na kinainan. Napansin ko na sandali itong napa pause sa ginagawa at biglang napatingin sa akin.

"U-Uhhmm this is Dad and Mom house not mine." He averted his gaze.

I notice that he looks not comfortable talking about it so immediately change the topic right away.

"Ako na ang maghugas ng pinagkainan natin." I volunteered. I could see the disagreement on his face.

Wala na rin naman akong ginagawa sa loob ng room eh kaya naisipan ko na lang na mag volunteer para roon. But my mouth fell open when I realize something. Oh, fuck! I forgot that this is his parents house! Kaya hindi malabo na baka nandito rin ang mga magulang ni Silas.

"No, you still need to rest. You can go to the library if you're bored or I can tour you to the house. You can choose either of the two."

"Yeah, right." I just agree on him when I realize my dumbest decision.

Ano na lang ang sasabihin ng mga magulang niya kapag nakita nila na dinala ako ni Silas sa bahay nila? They might fight again. At hindi ko gugustuhing mangyari pa iyon. And why I even thinking that? It's not just like we have a relationship. Namula ako sa naisip. Ngayon lang nag sink in sa akin ang nangyari kanina. We did hug earlier! But it doesn't mean we're already a couple right?!

I shrugged off my thoughts away. I'm occupied with my thoughts that I didn't notice Silas is staring at me with wide and confuse eyes. Napatikhim ako at napainom ng tubig.

"Are you okay?" He muttered didn't break the stare from me even I am drinking water I could see it on the reflection of water.

"I am fine. Ahh Silas I want to go the library." I mumbled.

He mouthed okay before he step out from the room. He said that I will just wait him go back on the room. Tsaka niya ako ihatid sa library na sinasabi nito. I roam my eyes around, my sight caught an familiar photo hanging on the wall. Hindi ko iyon napansin kanina nang pinasadahan ko ng tingin ang buong kwarto.

Tumayo ako mula sa kinauupuan at dinungaw iyon. Nasa mataas na parte nakasabit ang litrato kaya hindi ko magawang hawakan iyon. Bukod no'n ay wala ng iba pang litrato na nakalagay sa pader. That me think. Why there is no pictures of him in this room? I'm sure this is his room. Kaya nakakapagtaka lang ng walang kahit ano na litrato roon. 

Hindi matanggal ang tingin ko sa ibabaw. Ang litrato ang nagsilbing buhay ng buong kwarto dahil sa makulay at maaliwalas na background nito at ang mga malalaking ngiti na nakapaskil sa aming labi. I can't help it but smile wider while looking at the photo.

My forehead crest when Silas didn't go back at the room after twenty minutes of waiting. I stood up from the bed when got bored waiting for him. Step out from his room and started walking even I'm not familiar to the house. My mouth drop when the long hallway welcome my sight after going out from the room.

I was in awe while surveying the surroundings around me. The long hallway, the huge doors I am passing, the high ceiling and the big chandeliers above. This feels I am in a castle. Kulang na lamang ng red carpet iyon. I look like I'm the princess marching on the red carpet until reaching the thrown and be crowned as a new queen. Mas lalong bumagay ang suot ko na kulay pink na dress. 

I am mesmerized with the house. Lumibot ako at sinubukang palubuhin ang dress na suot. My lips parted when my plan succeed the reason I laugh. Pero lahat ng kasiyahan iyon ay agad na nawala nang may mariin na humawak sa siko. My body frozed and then the familiar scene came back on my head. Lahat na nangyari nong araw na iyon ay bumabalik sa akin.

"No..." I cover my ears while tearing up.

The pleading, shouting and how I gasped for air. Those memories floods like water on my mind. The memories that I badly want to forget but I can't. Agad akong nakaramdam ng paninikip sa dibdib ko. Ayaw kong humarap sa kan'ya. Natatakot ako.

"So, you're the girl that Silas mentioned? What's special on you? Bakit baliw na baliw ang kapatid ko sayo na nagawa niyang suwayin si Dad?" He muttered with mockery.
