She smiles and pulls me into a hug, which, non-surprisingly, I don't hug back. I stand there, awkwardly, as she hugs me.

She finally pulls away and steps back. "Whatcha gonna do today?" She asks as she walks over to her side of the room.

"Something," I say before sitting back down on my bed and turning back on the podcast. It doesn't take long to annoy Enid. Actually, a personal record.

"We need to get you headphones." She says.

"Whatever," I reply.

We walk along the path in the woods. I'm taking her to where she took me on our last date. It's so peaceful here, I love it.

As I walk, I start to feel a little dizzy, maybe nauseous. I don't put my mind to it and I just shrug it off.

We arrive at the pond and almost immediately dip our feet into the water. I did some research around here, and by research, I mean exploring.

A couple of miles down from the pond, there's a small flower field near a cliff. Not that big of a cliff, though. Far down enough to break your legs.

I feel her head lean on my shoulder. I'm busy taking in the scenery. Usually, I'd hate color, nice stuff like this. But it's different now.

I reach down into the water, the warm water soothing my skin. I go deeper and deeper until I feel the handle, then I pull it out. A black metal box, dripping wet, hangs in front of us.

"What's that?" Enid perks up, taking her head away from my shoulder.

I set it down next to me and opened the box. I pull out a bottle of liquor and hand it to her.

"This," I say.

She grabs the bottle and looks at the label. "Ooh, Rose-Strawberry Cream tequila." Enid smiles before popping off the lid.

"Not too strong, right?" She asks with the lid in her hand. I nod.

She holds it to her nose to take a whiff of it before pulling away, smiling even bigger. She takes a sip, scrunching up her face before relaxing again.

"Mm. This is good." Enid says before taking another sip. I watch her gulp it down before grabbing it from her hand.

"Hey! Leave some for me," I say before I take a sip.

As soon as I pull the bottle away from my lips, I start to feel lightheaded. I quickly pass it back to Enid before leaning my hands on my knees. I exhaled roughly before catching my breath.

"Hey, you okay?" I hear Enid say as I feel hands on my shoulders.

I straighten up before nodding. "Sorry, weird taste." I lie.

I turn my head to look at her. Her eyes gazed into mine. I think she knows I'm lying. I feel her hand on the back of my neck as she pulls me in to kiss.

Enid kisses me softly and gently, I can taste the liquor on her lips. Or that could be my own. I kiss her back sloppily. This isn't me.

I feel like I've been shot in the back as I tumble onto Enid. She gasps before holding me in her arms. "Oh my god! Wednesday!" She says, startled.

I feel like my body is shaking very violently, but it isn't. My breathing is heavy and I'm struggling to catch my breath. I'm soon wheezing. I cough, my throat scratchy.

I feel a hand on my forehead. "Wednesday! You're burning up!" Enid yells.

She continues talking but I can't make out what she says. She's mumbling now. My eyes drift into the back of my head, but I don't allow them.

I need to stay awake. What's happening? I still hear her ramble, but it's not clear.

I think I'm going to pass out.

I finally let my eyes roll into the back of my head.
