Suddenly, I have an idea. I take out my phone, hoping not to get noticed, and set it up secretly and press record. I'll just video this lesson and show her after school. She'd be thankful.
I scoot closer to her, laying a hand on her shoulder, and using my thumb to rub it.
You'll be okay.

Wednesday sits down next to me at the table. She's been sleeping every class and luckily, I have been there to record. I left her behind to walk to the quad since she was walking slowly. I don't think she minded.
"Are you okay?" I ask her again once she sits.
"Yeah, I guess I was just tired." Her voice sounds more better and her face is back to the color it was always.
"Girl, you look dead." Yoko points out the obvious.
I told her what happened this morning in class. "Girl, you better shut up before I snatch those Willy Wonka glasses off your face." Wednesday mimics.
Good old Wednesday is back. Wait, oh my god.
"Did Wednesday Addams just use modern slang?" I screech.
Wens rolls her eyes. "Nonsense." She replies.
I huff and look down at the table. "Don't say anything." I hear her whisper in my ear.
I smile again before looking up at Yoko. I notice Layla and Jason walking over. I wave at them and Layla waves back with a smile. I see Yoko looking nervous.
"Girl, calm yourself. Just act normal." I say to her quickly before they arrive.
Once they arrive, Jason automatically starts talking to Wednesday. As me and the girls are talking, I try to eavesdrop on their conversation. But they're talking about murder.
Ew.
At least Wednesday's looking better.

Wednesday's POV
I feel much better. I think I was just really tired. Or maybe it was also the medicine. Classes ended and I sat on my bed, waiting for Enid to come back.
I recently started to listen to crime podcasts on my phone. Only that. I have to play them out loud since I don't have those thingies that go in your ears. Headphones, I think Enid called them.
Enid gets very annoyed by the podcasts, too. But that doesn't stop me. I turn one of them on and listen to it. A serial killer was able to kill over 20 people before they got caught.
That's a new record.
I remind myself to note that down later. Probably after our date. The door opens and Enid comes in. I turn the podcast off so I don't need to annoy her. I don't want a whiny brat at our date.
"Hey, Wens! You feeling better now?" She asks for the third time today.
"Yes, I'm okay. I'm better now." I say for like the millionth time.
