When I got curious to know who texted me. Inabot ko ito at binuksan ang screen. I received a message from Silas.
Unknown Number: Hey! Are you avoiding me?
Unknown Number: What did I do? To avoid me?
Unknown Number: So, you won't reply to my messages? I'm going to gour house.
My mouth fell open after reading his text. Even he's not save on my contacts I know it's him because he keep chatting me on facebook but I didn't bother to seen it. I'm not avoiding him it's just that I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone for the past days. Napatayo ako sa kama at dali-daling lumabas sa aking kwarto.
His message sent 30 minutes ago! But Damn it! I'm sure he will go here! I know he's not bluffing! What if Dad saw him?! Edi lagot talaga ako! Dumagundong ang dibdib ko sa kaba habang pababa ng hagdan muntik pa akong madulas dahil nagkamali ako ng apak mabuti na lang at nakahawak ako barindilya. I saw Eonoah confused eyes while looking at me. Pero hindi ko na siya pinansin at sunod-sunod ang mga hakbang.

Palabas na ako ng pintuan nang maaninag ko ang isang itim na kotse na huminto sa labas ng gate namin. I roam my eyes around, there's no one here outside that me sigh in relief. Maybe they're inside the study. I took a steps right away to welcome Silas outside.
He came out from his car wearing a stripe shirt and a board short. I noticed that's his car today were new.
"What are you doing here? Did you know scared I am what will happen if Dad saw you coming here?! And how do you know which my house is?!" Hindi ko na mapigilang tumaas ang boses dahil sa panggigil sa kaniya.
And the jerk just smiled at me like he didn't do anything stupid! Tumaas na ang dugo ko habang siya ay tuwang-tuwa pa sa nangyari. Nakaramdam na lang ako bigla ng sakit sa ulo.
"The next time you ignore me, I'm gonna gatecrash your house." He said with playful smile plastered on his lips.
"Sakay."
My eyebrows arked into a line.
"Why would I? Umuwi ka na sa inyo."
"You really want me to do anything?" Nabahala ako ng lumapit ito sa gate at aakmang mag-do-doorbell.
"Fine!" I hissed.
Shit! I suddenly hop in inside his car. I saw him grinning while looking at me. Inirapan ko siya at marahas na umupo.
When he got in he immediately started the engine. I saw from the rearview mirror that there's a paper bags at the back of the car. Gusto ko sanang itanong kung para sa ano ang mga iyon pero pinili ko na lang na tumahimik. Pansin ko ang pagtitingin nito sa aking gawi pero iniirapan ko lamang siya. He just chuckled and continue driving. The entire ride was silent.
But when I noticed the familiar places we are passing by that's the time I finally speak after many minutes of being silent.
"Are we going to the Ruins?" There's a little happiness in my voice when I ask him like my mood earlier suddenly change.
"Yeah. I notice that you like that place. I saw your eyes shining the last time we went there that I don't see often at school. You are beautiful when you're happy Eris, so don't hold yourself from being happy. You deserve the happiness in this world."
I blink, I don't know what to respond. I looked away from his gaze.
Mabilis kaming nakarating sa aming destinasyon marahil sa tahimik na paligid. I lowered my gaze that I immediately regret doing it. I didn't change clothes! Nakapambahay lang ako, isang lumang t-shirt at maikling short ang suot ko. Fuck! I'm not comfortable wearing a short short when going out!
My mind were occupied with my thoughts that I didn't notice that Silas already go out from the car. He open the door of the passenger seat and he pick up those paper bags.
"What's that?" Sa wakas ay natanong ko na rin.
Kanina pa curious kung ano ang laman no'n. Nasa loob pa rin ako ng kotse. Silas is busy carrying the paper bags.
"Foods. Let's go." He open the door for me even he's a lot of things in his left hand.
"Foods? Bakit ang dami naman yata?" Lumabas ako sa kotse na nakakunot ang noo.
Hindi ko siya tinulungan na magdala ng mga iyon. Bahala sa d'yan. Kahit madami ang dala niya ay nagawa pa rin akong alalayan ni Silas paakyat sa taas. Nakaramdam ako ng pagod nang makarating na kami sa taas kaya umupo muna ako para makapagpahinga.
I saw Silas put a cloth in front of me. Tinitigan ko siya habang ginagawa niya iyon, may mumunting pawis na namumuo sa kan'yang nakakunot na noo. His face were serious while doing that. I stood up from my seat and came near him. Hindi nito napansin ang paglapit ko patuloy pa rin ito sa pag-ayos ng tela. I place my palm on his forehead to wipe his sweats.
I feel his body frozed that made him stop for what he is doing. He turned his head to me so our eyes meet. I saw how he scanned my whole face like he was memorizing every corner of it. He held my hand that was on his forehead I feel like electricity travel inside my body when our hands touch with each other. I suddenly feel foreign emotion I have never been feel in my entire life.
Silas touch my nose using his thumb when his thumb go down to my lips I smack his hands that made him stop.
"What are you doing? You pervert!" I beamed.
"What? You're the one who touch me first." He said laughing.
"I'm just wiping your sweat!" I cross my arms.
"Fine you're just wiping my sweat. Sit here." He was still laughing while pointing the white cloth he laid down.
Nakataas ang kilay ko nang umupo. He also seated on the white cloth. He opened the paper bad he carried earlier. Ang laman ng unang paper bag na binuksan niya ay dalawang pares na sandwich. Tapos ang sumunod ay chips, 2 bottle of mineral water and then spaghetti.
"Let's eat." He uttered.
"Wait. Let me take a picture of our foods." I said happily and I took my phone.
"How about me? When will you take a picture of me?" He muttered.
I arched my brows and ignore him. I take many shots as I can. I can't help smiling while looking to the photos I took.
"How I wish I am food so you would take a picture of me. You really won't take a picture of me even just my back?" He pouted like a child.
"I won't, you're so ugly."
His mouth fell open and his face crumpled. I smirked. I know his used to received compliments from many people I'm sure his pride is hurt because of what I've said. But of course I am lying he's handsome. Inaasar ko lang talaga siya. The word handsome is not even enough to describe how good he is but I won't say it in front of him of course. Baka mas lalong lumaki ang ulo nito kapag sinabi ko iyon sa kaniya.
"You're the first one who said that to me." Hindi makapaniwalang sabi nito.
"I know." I smiled that made him pissed more.
I laughed at him. I lay down on the white cloth. Nakita ko na ginaya ni Silas ang ginawa ko. I looked at the sky above. The sky were dark. Tila uulan yata ngayon but for some reason I don't want to leave this place even it might rain. This will be my safe place starting today. I heaved a deep and long sighed.
"How peaceful and beautiful." I uttered.
"Yeah, this is the best date I've ever had." I heard him say filled with happiness in his voice
