(Night Raven College, Morning, Hallway)
"I'M LATE, or at least I WILL be if I don't hurry, not good, not good at all", Deuce shouted, running down the hallway, "I'm never gonna make morning homeroom in time, I can kiss my honor student dreams goodbye for sure... huh", Deuce slowed to a stop upon seeing Evelyn and Grim, "Oh, Evelyn, Grim",
"Yo, Deuce", Grim greeted.
"Morning, Deuce", Evelyn greeted.
"Morning, I see you two are flirting with tardiness as well, overslept", Deuce asked.
"Mainly Grim", Evelyn said, looking over at Grim.
"Nothin' like a good night's sleep to cure what ails ya, myahaha", Grim stated.
"I overslept as well, pretty shameful behavior for an honor student", Deuce mumbled.
"Eh, don't worry, I've never thought of you as an honor student", Grim said.
"Ugh... b-but we don't have time for this, homeroom is about to start", Deuce reminded before the three ran towards the classroom.
(Time Skip, Afternoon, Cafeteria)
"Whew... I've definitely worked up an appetite after running around all morning", Deuce muttered to himself.
"Deuce, care to eat lunch with us", Epel called out, Evelyn, Grim, and Ortho sitting beside him.
"Sure, why not; I see Evelyn, Grim, and Ortho are with you as well", Deuce said, taking a seat.
"Yes, we ran into each other in the hall", Epel stated.
"Evelyn, Grim, and I were chatting about a comic that's really popular right now", Ortho explained, "we thought Epel might enjoy it too, so we joined up with him",
"That reminds me, Evelyn mentioned that you overslept this morning and were late to class", Epel teased.
"A-actually, I made it in the nick of time", Deuce defended.
"Crewel walked in five seconds after we did", Grim mumbled in fear, "the look on his face gave me chills...",
"Oof, I don't even want to imagine it", Epel said.
"Why would you oversleep, school starts at the same time everyday", Ortho asked, "all you have to do is back calculate based on how long it takes you to get to class, and that's when you wake up",
"I'm aware, thanks", Deuce said, "thing is... I didn't get to sleep on time last night",
"Hittin' the books, AS IF, what were ya doin'", Grim asked.
"I was on the phone with my mom", Deuce explained, "I'm heading home to Clock Town this Sunday, so we had a lot to talk about",
"That's a small town in the south of the Queendom of Roses, right", Ortho asked.
"It must have been hard to get permission to go, what's happening on Sunday", Epel asked.
"It's White Rabbit Fest", Deuce said.
"DID YOU SAY FEST.", Grim shouted.
"Grim, inside voice please", Evelyn reminded.
"Calm down, it's not really a big deal", Deuce said, "just a bit of a fun thing for the locals; it's been years since the last time I went, but after mom reached out... I decided it's been long enough",
