The Alpha's Mate

Chapter 2

I am the enemy, what is he doing? He then put me down and backed me into a wall, trapping me between his muscular arms. He slowly started to close the gap between our faces...I shut my eyes in anticipation and waited for what was to come. But he just brushed my lips to his and went to my neck trailing sparks everywhere he went. My whole body tensed, but my eyes stayed closed. I felt his warm breath on my neck as he growled,

"Mate."

I just stood there. My life had been evolving around this mission... I almost forgot what a mate was.

I looked at him and he searched my eyes for an answer, but I never gave one. I just well, was standing there.

'Honey, kiss his cheek. Do something. ', my wolf was trying to coach me. I just did the first thing that came natural to me...

I ran.

I ducked under his arms and bolted out the door. I could hear his footsteps following almost in sync with mine. I ran down the stairs and out the front door of the pack house...

The woods were in my sight, I didn't turn back, but I knew he was close behind me. My heart was racing and sweat was beading on my forehead. I knew I was going to regret running from the Alpha that, I guess, is my mate... He is pretty good looking, not going to lie about that, but there was just so much running through my head at one time that I just got overwhelmed and did what my gut told me to...

I looked around while I ran, trying to find myself somewhere to hide... That was it. It was a cave about 100 meters away from me. I ran even faster than before and hid in the dark cave. I don't know what is in here, nor do I even care. I just hope it was enough to throw him off guard.

I shut my eyes and tried to slow down my breathing... Through my nose, and out my mouth... through my nose... and out my mouth... Then it hit me again... That smell that got me into this mess in the first place.

He's close... I hear his footsteps around the outside of the cave. I'm miles from home and I don't think they've sent people after me yet... I'm alone. In the woods. With the enemy Alpha/my mate after me. Well. Today's going well.

I huddled myself into a ball as I waited. The smell got stronger and stronger, I knew he was near. That's when I heard a branch crack. He was at the cave entrance.

I was hidden by the night, in my black clothes... There is no way he can see me, but I know he can smell my presence in the area... He didn't mark me so there isn't a mind link, thank God.

I just hope he can't hear my heart racing as he moves throughout the cave.

"Come on. I know you're in here. I'm not going to hurt you, just come out so we can talk. I don't even know your name..." I could hear his frustration as he sat on the cave's floor.

He was facing away from me... So I started to crawl towards the entrance... Bad idea. I went through some leaves that made more noise than I thought. I looked back and knew he was looking in my direction... He doesn't see me just yet.

He looked around me, but never at me. Then, he turned away. I let out a sigh of relief and couldn't help but smile. What an idiot... I turned back and started to crawl out until I felt him jump on top of me. I started to scream for help, but it was no use.

He put my hands behind me and held my wrists with one hand. As much as I was kicking, he didn't seem to care. He sat down and pulled me onto his lap as I thrashed around, my hair all over my face. He wrapped his arms around me and I gave up. I knew I couldn't get away from him this time...

His muscular arms held me like he wouldn't ever let go. I knew he was taking in his victory as I sat there, scared out of mind. I tried to escape the Alpha... Things aren't going to go well for me.

" I know you didn't reject me." He growled in my ear, "I don't take no for an answer" He trailed off and started to kiss my neck tenderly. I bit my lip, trying not to moan as he went over my sweet spot just on the crook of my neck. I shivered unvoluntarily and I could feel him smile. I felt his teeth brush my neck... No... He can't mark me.

I turned my head until our eyes met.. They flickered between blue, and black. I looked at his lips, and then his eyes. Giving him the hint on what I was about to do. He smirked and leaned in... Our lips met. It was tender and loving at first, as the heat spread from my lips to the rest of my body. He softly laid me on the cave floor, putting him on top. I should've known the Alpha would want to take control...

I finally got my hands free and ran my them all through his hair... Our kiss became more heated as I felt his tongue asking for entrance. I parted my lips as we fought for dominance... It got to a point where I gave up and let him explore my mouth. He put his hands on my waist and one slowly made its way under my shirt... That's when I snapped back into reality.

I took my hands off of his face and tried to push his hand out from under my clothes. I can't let this happen.

He then took my wrists and pinned them above me, breaking the kiss. I saw his pitch, black eyes as he went to my ear and whispered, "Don't fight it. I told you I never take no for an answer."

My whole body shook at what he said... I was thinking about what to do, my mind was racing. I tried to look for an escape route, but there wasn't a way out. He was on top of me, holding my legs and arms in place.

He lowered his lips slowly past mine and to the crook of my neck. He kissed my sweet spot tenderly before brushing his teeth over it. I thrashed and tried to get away, I knew what he was going to do... But all I felt next was pain. He sunk his teeth into my neck, marking me as his. My body went limp, and my surroundings went black.
