caleb looked to charlotte, "charlie, want me to help get pillows and stuff out?"

charlotte nodded, "yeah let's go," she said, easing gracie off of her lap despite her protests. her and caleb left her and sadie to huddle with each other instead as they went upstairs.

once out of ear shot and at the closet with all the extra pillows, mats, and blankets, charlotte leaned against it and blocked caleb from opening it. she stared at him with her arms folded and a sarcastic look.

caleb hung his head to her gaze and sighed in annoyance, "yeah, yeah, i know what you walked in on—"

"y'know i thought you would be the more delicate and soft type kissing people but DAMN. and on my countertop too, like ya probably hoisted her up there and—"

"charlotte," caleb sternly said, covering his face in utter terror of the flashback.

"wait wait wait, how did this even like occur, y'all have been pining over each other for YEARS and then boom you're just making out in the bathroom?" she waved her arms dramatically while caleb rolled his eyes. "y'know i thought bathrooms were a curse or something for me and gracie cause we always got caught and would find each other there but you do you."

"jesus christ," caleb shook his head. "i mean... she's crossed, i'm kinda drunk it was just kinda... like it just happened. i kinda just blurted out that she was really pretty tonight and then..."

"sooooo what does this mean now?" she eagerly asked on her top toes to really rub her smirk into his face. "you asking her out?"

"i—i don't know! okay i don't know if she wants to even! she's like fucked right now, what if she just regrets it in the morning! i know i won't, but like fuck," caleb groans. "wait how'd you know i liked her? and you said we've both been pinning over each other... did she something?"

charlottes eyes go wide, "well i mean for you it was obvious, since the day you two met...." she trailed off and was suddenly much more interested in the abstract painting that hung on the wall, not wanting to tell him that sadie only realized her feelings for him a couple weeks ago.

"and sadie?"

charlotte threw her head back, "look. just ask her out, i promise you won't regret it, and don't you dare say anything stupid or break her heart," she said threateningly, even though she knows caleb would never hurt a soul, god forbid sadie's. "take her to get italian food for a date, that's her favourite."

"wait, wait, i need more help than that," caleb pleaded as charlotte turned and stacked mats and pillows onto his arms. "what do i say? how did matt ask you out?"

"figure it out casanova," she yawned, patting his shoulder before going to the stairs. "and please, for the love of god, don't ask marcus for advice on how to ask her out."

after caleb and charlotte set up spots on the floor and couches for everyone sleeping in the living room, gracie followed the actress into the kitchen to help clean up, which is where they found matthew and olivia sitting up in the counter talking.

"are we interrupting?" gracie asked in a high pitched tone as put glasses into the sink, her nose high in the air as she smirked at olivia.

"huh?" olivia went bright red, the joint in her hand almost dropping.

"no, unless you wanna be," matthew grinned before flashing olivia a grin and bouncing off the counter, leaving the girl wide eyed. "hey charlie, we were talking about all heading out to the lake house tomorrow."

"you mean me and jude's lake house?" she replied, rolling her eyes. "maybe, i mean we better get some time there before the weather starts getting cold. jude'll wanna go."
