"WHY DID YOU POST THAT PICTURE?!"
I laughed and hid my phone while Chaewon yelled and tried to take it from me.
"TAKE IT DOWN JULI!"
"STOP!" she hovered over me and started tickling me all over, so I just kept laughing and laughing.
I playfully pushed her off and sat up properly at the bed. Once we both calmed down, she went and sat beside me as well.
"The picture wouldn't have reached your fans if you didn't reply." I rolled my eyes at her.
"Well sorry if I forget that I'm famous sometimes!" she sassed.
"Then sorry too if I forget sometimes that you're following me." I retorted.
She scoffed and shook her head, crossing her arms as if I said something absurd.
"You're free the whole afternoon?" I asked.
"Yeah. The photoshoot was cancelled." she answered.
Both our gazes were stuck on the television. It felt warm and cozy, and I was happy to be with her again.
"I originally planned on spending the whole day with you yesterday." she brought up.
Although I was listening intently, I kept my eyes ahead.
"The whole thing... The issue about me and that guy is not true." she said.
A wave of relief washed through me as I turned my head to look at her. I have been waiting for her clarification or at least any response from her management on social media.
But to hear it directly from her... it's different.
"I don't know where it came from. Thankfully, me and my manager handled it quickly." she explained.
Then, she looked back at me. I smiled and gently caressed her hair.
"You're doing well, Chae. I'm always proud of you, no matter what." I expressed.
A genuine smile slowly made its way to her lips. Words weren't needed. The way she looked at me, how she snuggled closer and wrapped her arms around my body, it was enough to tell me how she felt.
I know that her dating rumors aren't true, but she's got many people lining up for her. And although she's my friend, she feels too out of reach sometimes. So it isn't any assurance that I've got more chances of her liking me back.
