CHLOE COULD FEEL HOW TENSE IT WAS ON the pitch, Shauna trying to budge past her at every turn, but Chloe wasn't moving for anything. Taissa had possession of the ball most times, and usually the varsity squad was scoring left and right against the JVs, but without Shauna, the ball kept getting intercepted over and over again. Much to the displeasure of Shauna. Chloe could hear her sharp, whistling sighs of annoyance against the side of her neck everytime Chloe managed to push her away from the ball yet again.

"It's a scrimmage," Shauna told her in panted breath. Chloe could feel her lungs begging for more breath, but she wasn't about to let Shauna know she was just as exhausted over this act as she was. "This isn't a proper game. Slow down."

"Keep up," was all Chloe responded with. It was quick to not let too much of a deep breath come out, and enough to let Shauna know she still wasn't okay with this whole 'freeze her out' plan.

The whistle blew again and Shauna bared her teeth with a clink that even Chloe could hear. The smaller girl dug her studs into the dirt, keeping herself steady as Taissa sprang ahead with the ball, easily surpassing her marker and heading for the box. Shauna tried to sprint forwards, but Chloe was already there. She tried to sprint right, but, nope, Chloe was in front of her. Everywhere she turned was suddenly blocked by Chloe, leaving her no option.
