This takes place in Siege in Storm and finishes in Ruin and Rising, even though Yi Liu Chen was also in the events of Shadow and Bone. Little bits of her time at the Little Palace will be revealed throughout the book to keep a sense of mystery intact
Her lips are just parted ever so slightly, her gaze intensely focused on mine, a single dark curl having fallen over her forehead.
Slowly, I lean in, and so does she.
I bring a hand up to her chin to help her tilt her head accordingly, but just as I feel her mouth graze mine and my eyes close, she freezes and pulls away.
