Wild bull - Very similar biology to the domesticated bull. Only things of note are the color and amount of hair. Color is typically darker and some have increased amounts of fur on their frontal halves, this has been deemed to be a side effect of the evolution beyond our grasp. At the moment, the only thing of note is the encounter by the pond so any other mentions of the wild animals or their life is unnecessary.
Note: the sketch features a basic wild bull. The one in the story had an additional set of horns

Rattler - part of the canine family. On the outside they aren't special, but their unique anatomy only appears inside of the creatures. They have different mouths and they imitate clicking sounds instead of howls as their main form of communication. Other than that they don't distinguish themselves from wolves or foxes. Just like the other canines they have different forms in different climates.

Scouts - linen or leather. Use combat knives and throwables. Fast and agile. Mainly used for reconnaissance or as shock troops.
Rangers - Leather gambeson. Shoulder braces. Kettle helmet or bascinet. Crossbows or firearms and their respective ammo. Not intended for close quarters combat. Firearms were in lesser quantities due to the difficulties of replacing ammo and the difficulties of maintaining gunpowder. Additionally crossbows, or in rare cases, bows offered greater range and amount of projectiles fired.
Shields/spears - Brigandine or other form of leather clothing covered most of their body. Below was chainmail reaching every part of the body above the boots and wrapping around the face, gloves included. Helmets depended on the existence or lack of materials below. The story seems to imply that they wore leather helmets with chainmail underneath in which case the helmets may have been made larger to imitate height. Metal shield and spear. Fought in tight shield wall formation with which they protected their front, top and sides from any threat.
Legbreakers - Doubtful one of the soldiers were assigned to this position and if they were then they hadn't been trained with the weapon. Legbreakers are shields/spears, but replacing the spear and shield with a large battle axe. The battle axe is a shortened spear with an axe head placed into its side. The axe head was larger in width than a regular adult human head
Survivor brother - Any and all information about him and his armaments will be taken from the story provided. No myth or legend will be used as a certified source.

First session will be a discussion of the story. Afterwards you may fill in the gaps and push the narrative towards the desired goal. Any other question will only be taken into consideration after the first meeting. First meeting is on friday
