"Stop staring," Yeonjun said, his voice cold and distant, just as before.

But this time, instead of denying the fact that he was staring, Beomgyu found the courage to be honest. "I can't help it," he replied, his voice soft and vulnerable. "There's nothing else to stare at."

His admission hung in the air, and Beomgyu held his breath, waiting for Yeonjun's reaction. He expected more coldness, maybe even a harsh remark, but to his surprise, Yeonjun's expression softened ever so slightly.

"You're annoying," Yeonjun muttered, averting his gaze as if to hide his own vulnerability. He felt bad for beomgyu. For fair reasons. He was alone all the time, He was irritatingly obedient to him and he was always bored so it made sense that he kept staring at yeonjun whenever he was home.

Beomgyu's heart sank as Yeonjun's response wasn't what he had hoped for. "Okay," he replied softly, trying to hide the disappointment in his voice. He shifted his eyes to the ceiling, blinking back the sting of unshed tears. He didn't want to show weakness, not in front of Yeonjun.

When Beomgyu looked up, he noticed a change in Yeonjun's expression. There was something different in his eyes – a flicker of guilt. Beomgyu's heart skipped a beat, wondering what had caused this sudden shift.

Yeonjun hesitated for a moment before speaking, his voice softer than usual. "Are you bored?" he asked, his words carrying an unexpected touch of concern.

"I... I guess I am," Beomgyu admitted, trying to keep his voice steady. "There's not much to do around here, and you're hardly ever home."

Yeonjun's eyes softened, and Beomgyu could see a glimmer of regret in them. "I know" Yeonjun said, and it was the last thing Beomgyu expected to hear from him. "But you see... it's not my responsibility to give you company, beomgyu"

Beomgyu's heart sank at Yeonjun's response. He had hoped for some understanding, but instead, he received a cold reminder of his place in Yeonjun's life. It hurt, but he couldn't bring himself to show it.

"I never asked for your company," Beomgyu replied, trying to hide the disappointment in his voice. "I was just being honest about how I feel."

Yeonjun looked away, seemingly avoiding Beomgyu's gaze. "Well, there's not much I can do about it," he said, his voice distant. "And seems like you really liked soobin's company"

Beomgyu's heart skipped a beat at Yeonjun's unexpected remark. He hadn't expected Yeonjun to bring up Soobin, and he wondered why Yeonjun was suddenly getting defensive.

"It's not like that," Beomgyu protested, trying to keep his emotions in check. "I just... We talked, and he was nice to me. That's all."

Yeonjun scoffed, his frustration evident. "Nice to you? Is that all it takes for you to be interested in someone?" he retorted, his tone sharper than before. He wasn't sure why he was being like this but he couldn't help it.

Beomgyu felt a surge of anger rising within him. "No, it's not like that!" he snapped back. "I just... It's nice to have someone to talk to, to not feel so alone all the time." His voice broke as he finished speaking. He averted his gaze, his cheeks burning with embarrassment. He had let his true feelings slip out, and he was afraid of the response.

Yeonjun's eyes were filled with rage as he spat out "Such a whore behavior!" His words struck Beomgyu like a sharp blade, and he felt the tears welling up in his eyes.

He could feel tears burning in the corners of his eyes, but he refused to let them fall. He clenched his fists in an effort to maintain his composure. "I'm not like that," he said, his voice shaking. "You don't know anything about me." No one had ever talked to him like that or said such thing to him before. He wasn't used to this type of remarks. He wasn't very loved at palace but atleast he was respected.
