Beomgyu scrolled through the phone, finding a few games that didn't interest him. He sighed, feeling the urge to do something productive today, to escape the confines of the empty house. The internal battle between staying inside and going out continued, but finally, he made up his mind.
"Maybe I should go out," he muttered to himself, his voice quiet but resolute. Despite the uncertainty, Beomgyu needed a change of scenery and a break from the loneliness. Yeonjun had said he could go out if he wanted to. But where would he go anyways? He was unfamiliar to this place.
Beomgyu hesitated for a moment, looking down at the hoodie he was wearing. He didn't bother changing; after all, it didn't matter what he wore in this unfamiliar world. He simply put his phone in his pocket, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves.
Beomgyu moved towards the door. His hand trembled slightly as he reached for the doorknob, but he pushed through the hesitation and opened the door.
As Beomgyu stepped out, he was greeted by the strange sky of Xantheria, which had become somewhat familiar to him. The world outside was a mix of peculiar and fascinating, but before he could fully take in the surroundings, his attention was drawn to a nearby house. The door of the house was about to open, and he stood frozen in place, curiosity mingled with apprehension. He knew this house belonged to kai.
As the door swung open, Beomgyu's gaze met that of a tall, dark-haired male. He recognized him from a previous encounter, which hadn't been particularly pleasant. He braced himself for potential rudeness or hostility, but to his surprise, the man appeared composed and humane, quite different from their previous interaction.
As the seconds passed, the man finally broke the silence with a small, polite smile. "You must be Beomgyu," he said in a calm, gentle voice.
Beomgyu managed a hesitant nod, his voice caught in his throat. "Yes, that's me," he replied, surprised by how steady his voice sounded.
The man extended his hand towards Beomgyu. "My name is soobin" he introduced himself.
Beomgyu shook Soobin's hand, feeling a mix of curiosity and relief. "Ohh" he said, trying to compose himself.
Soobin chuckled softly. "Relax i'm not going to eat you" he explained. Soobin kind of liked beomgyu. He felt bad for him. Because someone living with yeonjun deserved real sympathy.
Beomgyu let out a nervous laugh at Soobin's comment, feeling a bit more at ease with his light-hearted approach. He was getting along slowly, not to people but to the environment. He was less nervous then before. "I... I know," he replied, a small smile forming on his lips.
Soobin nodded understandingly. "I can imagine," he said. "An unfamiliar world... training and most of all... living with yeonjun"
Beomgyu's smile faltered slightly at the mention of Yeonjun, but he quickly composed himself. "Yeah, living with Yeonjun is... Not too bad" he said, trying to choose his words carefully.
Soobin raised an eyebrow, sensing that there might be more to the story. "I doubt it" he remarked, his tone hinting at his own experiences with Yeonjun.
Beomgyu hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much he should share with Soobin. He wasn't ready to reveal everything, especially to someone he had just met. But there was something about Soobin's understanding demeanor that made him want to open up, even if it was just a little.
"Well, he can be quite... difficult, and he's very distant" Beomgyu finally admitted, trying to find the right words. "He's demanding and doesn't hesitate to point out my flaws during training."
