Tears in The Ocean

Chapter 9

“What are you doing?” She asked staring into my eyes. “I just want to apologize about yesterday.” I said, I didn’t even care how close we were at this moment. I just wanted her in my arms.

“Uhm can you let me go?” She said and pulled away from me. “Your room is that side.” Those were her last words before she walked away from me and locked herself in her room. “Fuck!” I muttered before I went to my room and dropped myself in this beautiful soft bed.

“What are you doing Shaun? You’re married for heaven’s sake.” I was speaking to myself. Trell is gonna pay for this. I decided best I really just fall asleep.

Whole day Mfundo spent it locked in her room to avoid me and I felt like this day was a waste. I should have went out sight seeing as well because I didn’t get anywhere with Mfundo.

Time for dinner came and everybody was dressed up except for Mfundo but I still think she looked more beautiful than everybody in here. I loved how she kept stealing glances at me when she thought I wasn't looking.

The dinner was fun with everybody having fun with the games they were playing but me and Mfundo didn’t participate we were just cheering them on. Everybody kept drinking alcohol and enjoying themselves and I decided I was going to sleep early, my real aim was to corner Mfundo and probably get back with her.

“Goodnight guys.” I stood up and they all were begging me to stay a lil longer but I knew I just couldn’t take staring at Mfundo who kept on giving me the evil eye whenever our eyes met. I dabbed everybody and went to sleep.

Mfundo POV.

I had to stay and act like I wasn’t sleepy to make sure by the time I went to my room I’ll find Drew sleeping. I don’t know how one moment he can’t stand me. The next he’s staring at me and trying to make advances at me.

I finally couldn’t take it so I also said my goodbyes, it was going to 1 am in the morning. The moment I got to my room I made sure I made as little noise as I could but even that didn’t help. There he was standing by his door.

“Hey.” I laughed nervously since I really look stupid trying to tip toe my way to my bedroom.

“You tiptoeing to avoid me?” He laughed lightly but I shook my head. “No. I didn’t want wake you up.” I lied but he laughed nodding. “I was about to be surprised, why would you wanna avoid me? I didn’t do shit to you Mfundo. You hurt me by sneaking behind my back with Jason.” He said kissing his teeth. This weird motherfucker.

“So daytime you’re nice and tryna get in my pants night time you remember what I did to you?” I asked closing the door so I could make my way to my room.

“That’s the shit I hate. You don’t realize you broke me.” He spat quietly. “So you just had to break me more?” I asked staring at him but he shook his head. “You shouldn’t have lied Mfundo. You should have been honest with me from the start.” He said and I nodded when I felt his emotions on his  tone. “I’m sorry Drew. I really am. I know I messed up and I’m sorry but I was a kid. I was barely a teenager when me and Jason happened.” I said honestly feeling my tears fill my eyes. “You lying about it made me think that you still loved him.” He said and I nodded. “I’m sorry but you shouldn’t have married her, you didn’t even give me a chance to explain myself.” I said as a traitor tear fell. “I did give you chance after chance to come clean but you didn’t. Everybody knew except for me Mfundo!” He yelled making me jump at his tone. “You still shouldn’t have married her.” I cried and I knew I couldn’t take this any longer so I tried to disappear to my room but he stopped me and turned to him.

“Do you love him?” He asked, his eyes were begging me to say no and I shook my head no. “I love you.” I felt my tears spill out of my eyes. “I love you so much.” After that my tears came out to play. It’s like they were showing off to him. He wiped them away and pulled me closer to him and our foreheads met.

“I love you.” He said and just like that our lips connected and the electricity that he has always given me came to me this time much stronger. He pulled me much tighter to him as our lips danced together and I found myself wrapping my arms around his neck as we kept eating each other’s face off. I missed this. I missed touching him. He pulled me much tighter closing the little distance between us.

“Mfundo, You can use my roo-“ Amanda made us pull apart so fast as we now stared at her. She crossed her arms and raised her eyebrows. “Or not.” She said and clappped her hands once again. “Know what never mind me.” She said and gave us one brief look before she disappeared out of the room.

“Uhm goodnight.” I said quickly to Drew and went to lock myself in my room. What the hell was that. He is married Mfundo. What is wrong with you? “Jesus.” I took this huge breath leaning on my door.

“Mfundo really?” He knocked on my door but I ignored his married ass and went to my bed and just threw myself on it ignoring Drew’s knock.
