Chapter twenty-three

Start from the beginning

She was slowly regretting agreeing to keep Benji while Kacey attended a business trip Japan. He texted her every five minutes about "Benji" but it was really to be nosy about what she was doing. Cay missed him and the dick real bad but she was always going to stand on business.

Her feet were hurting from all the business she stood on.

"That is so embarrassing, I forgot where I was at," She laughed at herself as she stood up straight. She was so focused on being petty in her own world, she forgot she was at work with many individuals walking around mingling. Someone could've been watching her, thinking she was crazy.

Feeling a vibration sensation in her hand, she looked down at her phone–frowning at the message.

"This is why we are not together now, don't know how to watch his mouth. Chileee, Nurse, he's out again. Please get him," Caydence rolled her eyes, clicking the message. She replied "Okay," before going to block his number. "Not going to threaten me on my cellular device he pays for. The hell," She chuckled to herself after blocking his number and clicking out the text thread. Kacey had her so spoiled rotten, she didn't even realize she didn't pay her bills anymore even though he didn't live with her.

Now she has to go back to doing it herself. Now she doesn't have a reason to not be on the pole. She just might return.

"Life sucks. He just had to open his big ass mouth," Caydence grumbled and then huffed in irritation. "What happened to all the times he ignored me when I was fussing? He just chose to speak that DAY. Stupid fine ass nigga," She kept going on her mini-rant.

"Whatchu' talkin' bout over here?" She heard and looking over to her right, she saw Kambree holding a facial expression of concern.

Embarrassed at being caught talking to herself, Caydence stood up straight "Talkin' to myself. It's starting to get packed now," She looked over towards the entrance door as more and more individuals entered the building.

"I know. I hope they don't ask me to stay because the answer is hell nah," Kambree rolled her eyes as she stood beside Caydence "You okay babes?" She wondered, bumping her hip into Caydence, provoking a smile to appear over her plump lips.

"Always. Don't worry 'bout me," Caydence forced a smile, leaning over and side-hugging Bree. Cay knows her girls will be down Kacey's throat about her and she didn't want that. She didn't want the dynamic in their friend group to change because of their break up. He may have hurt her feelings extremely badly but he was still a good person with a big and amazing heart. Caydence didn't want their friends to forget that just because of her.

Kacey has one of the sweetest souls she has met it a while.

"Mhm," Bree hummed. Having friends who didn't play about you will always warm her heart. For her whole life, she always assumed Kapri would be her only friend and person to go to war behind her.

Now she is in a friend group that she loves. They're her family–even if she was too stubborn or scared to accept it at first.
