"right now ladies listen we're taking a prop because we're not going that far away." Abby explains
we learn the group dance and it's very pretty
"you are dancing here right now like you've never had a dance class in your life if that was me and i was descent it three step turn reach, in here develpe that's what i would've done without anybody telling me what to do at twelve years old and your mothers been telling me how much you've improved." Abby says to Nia

"we'll put some patting there." Abby says as Chloe rolls off the prop
"keep working Nia! you're standing there again! go over it and over it and over it i look up i see Nia standing in second with her arms hanging out" Abby yells
we continue the routine "right here there needs to be another person dancing."
"guess who's here early for her private." Abby says as she brings Payton into the room
"get up there on that beach and just like improv a little bit." Payton gets on the prop
we do the routine and Payton improvs
|Competition Day|
we get off the bus and the crowd cheers
i wave as i walk into the competition
we get to our dressing room and i do my side ponytail for the group
"so Leslie we're happy you're here but" Jill says
"you're happy we're here but Kelly's not so that's what you're saying?" Leslie says
"i'm not saying happier." Jill says
"oh i am" Abby says
"but i hope you guys get used to it being Payton and I here and Kelly not coming back." Leslie says
"it's fine listen to me Kendall."
"just so you all know my names Payton it's not Kendall it's not Brooke it's none of you it's Payton." Payton says
"but just what she did right now like saying her name like thats that's a fifteen going on sixteen year old thing you would never ever hear one of these kids talk to me that way" Abby says
"she wasn't talking to you." Leslie says
"but that's a smart mouth." Abby says
"she wasn't being smart." Leslie says
"and as a parent you should take her outside and have a little chat." Abby says
"you're missing what she's trying to tell you." Leslie
"no i kept calling her Kendall in rehearsal by mistake i have lots of kids names she's lucky i even know her name so shut your mouth!" Abby yells
"i'm gonna ask you a question right now miss Payton and if you answer me yes then you are were you should be at fifteen years old, do you have your solo costume with you?"
Payton shakes her head
"no? then keep your smart mouth to yourself cause you would've brought it just incase i wanted to write you in."
we go backstage with the trio
Candy Apples enter for their trio and i think they did really good
"good luck" i whisper to Chloe, Nia and Kendall
they perform their trio and i think they did amazing
i give Chloe a hug when she exits the stage
we go back to the dressing room and Abby seems pleased with the trio!
we get ready for the group dance and we run through it before heading backstage

Candy Apples perform first and i think their group was great!
"they were really good." Maddie whispers
"i know." i whisper
"let's hope for the best." Eloise pipes in
"up next is entry number 88 in the contemporary category please help me welcome to the stage Open Waters" the announcer says
we all enter the stage and we start the routine we all have solo bits on the prop so i make sure that's amazing overall i think we did great so i hope we win
|Awards| for the trio Candy Apples came seventh and Chloe, Kendall and Nia got fifth
"moving into our nine to eleven small group." the announcer says
i take Maddie and Kendall's hand
"fourth place champion, in the middle number 72"
"and now our third place champion Four Seasons number 88"
i clap for Candy Apples
"now ladies and gentlemen your highest scoring nine to eleven small group power champion will be, Open Waters"
i smile appears on my face and we get up to get our award
