SCARLETT CAMPBELL PRESSED the accept button as soon as the facetime notification popped up on her screen with a hint of hesitation. she was happy to talk to vinnie through the screen but she wasn't sure that it was really him that she would be seeing.

a flush of relief passed through the girl as the screen loaded and a picture of none other than vinnie hacker came up. scarlett giggled and realised she didn't have any makeup on as she'd just taken a relaxing shower.

"you could've warned me that you were gonna call, i would've done my makeup. i look like a hood rat." scarlett whined and propped up her phone in front of a few makeup containers. vinnie was quick to shoot down scar's comments, "no, no, you look great, scar."

"thank you." the dark skinned girl smiled, before continuing, "so what have you been up to?". vinnie smiled and placed his phone on his nightstand, watching the girls actions with a subtle smile on his face. "well, i went out to breakfast with my friends and then i came home and played some games for a few hours. what about you?"

the pair continued talking about unimportant things as the time passed by. when 7pm came by, scarlett realised that she should be taking her dog, milo on a walk. "okay, vinnie, i hate to say it, but i have to go take milo on a walk."

vinnie popped his botton lip to dramatically show his sadness. "okay, then. have fun!" vinnie smiled and waved to his screen. scarlett laughed and bid her goodbyes as vinnie ended the call.

after the call had ended, vinnie collapsed on his bed and groaned. he wished the call would last an eternity, but obviously that would be impossible. the short amount of time he spent with scarlett on the phone had made him happier than his previous two-month relationship and he thought that fact was funny. it's funny how someone can make you feel this happy in a short amount of time.

vinnie wouldn't say it out loud, but he looked forward to every text message scarlett would send him. it was a feeling he only had felt for amber, but the feeling died when their relationship ended and vinnie realised what a bitch she really was. he thought he was done for and wouldn't find anyone else that made him happy, but he was so, so wrong.

scarlett campbell was like a breath of fresh air to vinnie hacker.
