Sam moved to sit next to Halley that was still deep in thought from Johnny's words. Her cousin looked at her curiously

"He said something to you too, didn't he?" she asked

"Yeah" Halley nodded "You're thinking about it, aren't you?" Halley asked back looking again at the other rooftop

"I am, and so are you" Halley nodded at Sam. They knew each other, they knew that what Johnny had told each of them had convinced them, they didn't know if that made them gullible or if he had actually seen right through them and had said what would hit a nerve to them.

"Are we really gonna do this?" Halley sighed

"So no one wants to fly?" Johnny's voice didn't let Sam answer "You all just wanna stay in the nest. Pathetic!. You can bore Cobra Kai into submission. You all failed. Grab your crap and let's go" They all grabbed their things and started walking behind the Sensei. Sam grabbed Halley's arm and looked at her with determination in her eyes that was immediately transferred to the brunettes eyes as well

They both let go of their backpacks and gave a few steps backwards, staring at where they were supposed to land carefully. In their minds they couldn't fully process what they were about to do and how dangerous it was. In their minds they had their own struggles leading their thoughts.

Running to the edge of the building felt longer than it actually was and while she was in the air in the middle of the buildings felt freeing and then when she landed on the other side she couldn't believe what she had done.

Jumping from one rooftop to another wasn't in Halley's to do list, however, she was glad she did it. Because if she had managed to jump from a building then she could manage to fight her fear of things. And when she looked besides her and saw her cousin she knew that part of her was also relieved she had done it.

"Nice move, LaRusso's" Johnny was the first one to react, a proud look in his eyes and the cheers of the rest of their teammates came right after, all impressed by the girls

"Now is your turn, Dem" Halley joked and he laughed sarcastically

"You're very funny"

The rest of that day wasn't very exciting but then again, what more exciting than jumping from a roof. And Halley was actually excited for whatever Johnny threw at them the next morning. So she arrived with a smile to the dojo

"So? What's the plan for today?" Sam asked as the older man exited his van

"Another thing that might potentially kill us?" Halley jokes

"Oh, yeah, but now you're ready. Remember, if you get put in a scary situation, you don't back down. You gotta grow a pair" Sam and Halley looked at him expectantly and he realized what he had said "Of legs. To jump"

"Nice save" Halley said containing her laughter

"It's okay. We understand. Sensei" she made emphasis in the last word

"Alright, let's get to work"

Turns out, training with Johnny wasn't bad at all, he actually knew his stuff and even though it was different than what they were used to, Halley found herself enjoying her time a little too much

"Has your uncle ever made you try and catch fish with your bare hands as training?" Hawk came up to Halley as she was grabbing her bag to leave

"He made you catch fish?" she laughed

"Yeah. How did it go with Sensei Lawrence?" He raised his eyebrows, interested to hear about it

"Has he ever made you jump from a building to another one?" she made the question back

"He- what?!" his eyes widened "No one actually did it, right?"

"Yeah, actually. Demetri jumped" She said seriously and Hawk looked at her incredulously

"No, he didn't" he shook his head but when Halley didn't budge his eyes widened even more "He did?" that's when a smile made its way to Halley's lips

"You actually believed it for a second" she laughed "It's Demetri, there's not enough money in the world you could pay him to do something like that"

"That's true" he nodded "But seriously, did anyone jump?"

"Yeah" he raised his eyebrows in question "Sam...and me" she smiled looking up at him as they started walking to her car

"No way" he looked at her impressed "It sucks that I missed it, that's so cool"

"More like, scary" she laughed "And I definitely won't be doing that again, ever" Halley shook her head

"What do you mean?" he tilted his head "You don't jump from buildings as part of your morning routine?" he joked narrowing his eyes at her "That's disappointing"

"Oh, yeah. How dare I not do it" she took a hand to her forehead in fake disappointment in herself. They took a moment to laugh before Halley looked back at him "Do you need a ride?"

"Oh, no. Miguel's mom is driving us" he pointed in the hispanic's boy direction, when they turned to him he was already watching them from afar with his eyebrows raised in a teasing expression

"See you tomorrow, then" she said already unlocking her car and gettin in

"See you" Hawk mumbled watching her close the door and sighed once she could no longer hear him. Halley still made him so unbelievably nervous and he had no idea why. After Halley's car was gone and the red-haired boy was still standing in the same place Miguel came up to him with the only purpose of teasing his best friend

"You are so whipped" Miguel clapped his shoulder

"Shut up, man" he looked away to conceal the light blush creeping up his cheeks

Hello, hello

I didn't plan Halley to also jump with Sam. But then I realized that when Sam did it not to try and do against what his father said but out of trying to show she was her own person, she felt pressured every time she was compared to her father and felt his shoes were too big to fill so by showing she was different she had no shoes to fill but her own. Halley is also scared of so many things, and jumping meant for her that there was nothing to be scared about because she can get through things, she has before and freeing herself from those things that blocked her starts with her feeling confident enough to do things like these
