"I can do this. I can do this. I can do this."

But the cars were just moving so fast...

She had jumped out of an airplane for spider's sake! How was this all that much different?

Oh. Right.

This time she had to use her webs.

To jump onto a moving vehicle.

Stealthily.

Just think of some cool action music and go for it.

No time to hesitate or think this through, unfortunately. Gwen gave her arms a little shake. Without giving herself another chance to think, she pulled her hood over her head and her face mask over her nose and aimed her hands.

Making sure she was camouflaged, Gwen launched her webs at a passing truck and leaped off of the ground.

The pull she felt on her arms from the webs was a strange sensation. Like a trapeze artist was swinging her by her wrists.

Before her body could slam into the truck, she let go and put her feet first, softening her landing.

She had made it onto the side of the truck.

I can do this! She thought, somewhat surprised by herself. I half imagined myself getting thrown into the traffic.

Pushing down her thoughts of an accidental death, Gwen readied herself to keep going until she got to her destination. She tensed her muscles and leaped off the truck onto a passing van.

Her camouflage flickered.

Damn it. I'll have to find cover for a moment or else tomorrow's news will read: 'Young woman stuck to the side of a moving vehicle! What is our world coming to?'

Making her way to a truck on the outside lane, Gwen crawled underneath it and her camouflage broke.

"Ugh." The momentary pause made her aware of her injuries. Everywhere hurt.

A fight with a concrete wall will do that to you.

It'll heal.

Catching her breath, Gwen waited out her recovery as the truck continued in the direction she wanted to head.

Eventually, the truck approached the exit she wanted to get off at. Seeing that it did not intend to take the exit, Gwen tested to make sure she had her camouflage back and jumped onto a passing delivery van.

The van drove for a bit and as it started to pass the restaurant she needed to get to, Gwen realized she'd have to jump off.

Just... jump off.

Just do it.

Now!

Hoping that things would just work themselves out, Gwen leaped off.

Her body moved itself to land feet first, but inertia kept her body moving, causing her to tumble a little bit before landing in a crouch.

Ow.

Ignoring her injuries, Gwen stumbled past the parking lot into a side alley. Her skin flickered before becoming completely visible.

"Whew."

May's probably waiting in the parking lot for Creel's contact. First mission back in the field and I'm already messing up their plans.

She ensured her face and injuries were obscured and walked into the 'Halfway House Cafe.'
