Heyy! So, this is in fact one of my first little stories so pls don't judge me :)

PLOT:
You two had a big fight about cutting down the trees. A few days have past and you find out the last tree has been cut down. Everyone leaves him, exept for you.

Y/n's POV

Today is the day. I have to face my husband, Once-ler. I need to talk to him, for the sake of the animals, the Lorax, and the environment. I can't handle the smog in the sky, and the once clean river, that's now covered in oily goo.

The sound of my red heals that matched my tight, red dress is all you could hear walking though the hallways of the factory. I was confident at first, but each step I took I grew more scared, and nervous. I was looking down at the ground the whole walk to office doors. His older brothers—Chett and Brett— immediately opened the doors for me.
There he was. He was in his green suit with those sparkly blue glasses, and his top hat placed perfectly on his head. He looked up at me and smiled softly. "Y/n, darling. Do you need anything?" He said calmly. He was so hot. What was I thinking!? I can't do this to the one I loved the most!! But, then again, I have to.
"Honey...? Can we talk...?" I said, looking down at the ground. I was really nervous. He'll probably get super mad. "Of course." The Once-ler said. He was gently smiling. He signalled for me to sit in the chair in front of his desk. "So, what is it?" He said. He still was really calm.
That's why I thought I couldn't do this. And that he'll be in a bad mood after. But, I can't stand another second with the animals like this.
I took a deep breath in and a deep breath out. "Once-ler, please, look outside. Look at all of the destruction you've caused..." I said. I tried to stay calm and not yell at him. I looked up at him. His smile dropped and became an annoyed, disgusted look. "I have look outside, and what I see his success, sweetheart." He said. He then picked up his pen again and continued doing paperwork.
I stuttered a bit and tried to stay calm, but my anger took over me. "N-No!" I said. Looking up at him. Right after I said that he stopped what he was doing and looked at me, with one of his eyebrows raised. "No?" He asked. "No! That is not success! Are you blind!? Are you fucking blind?" I yelled at him angrily. He looked at me with deathly eyes. "I have done so much for you! is this how you repay me?" He yelled.
I stood up from my chair
"You've done nothing good for me, Once-ler!"
"Y/n..."
"You haven't even talked to me for the past two months!"
"Y/n."
"There's barley anymore trees because of you!"
"Y/n... stop."
"Remember that promise you made years ago? The old once-ler wouldn't break that!"
"Y/n. Shush."
"Will I ever get him back? Or is he to mesmerized by money!"
"Y/n... I'm going to-"
"Your mother is controllong you!"
I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my right cheek. Did he just... slap me...? I looked at the once-ler, I looked into his eyes. I felt my eyes flooding with tears. Sudden realization hit him. "Oh... my sweet wife... what have I done to you..." he said, softly caressing my cheek with his gloved hand.
I backed away, angrily. Causing him to tear up to. "I'm...I'm so sor-" I cut him off "shut it." I said. Angry tears were falling down my face as I ran out of his office, shutting the door behind me. I sprinted up the stairs, then practically jumped into our room. I then locked myself in there. I just want to be alone...

A few days later

"Son, you have let me down. BRETT. You are now my favourite child." Once-ler's mom—ugly oger-uh I meant Isabella—said before stepping on the pedal, and leaving the Once-ler behind. My baby... my poor little baby... he didnt deserve this... He was being controlled and manipulated by his mother.
I was watching from the once-ler's office's balcony. Soon, the animals left. Including his trusty mule, Melvin. The once-ler took off his top hat and faced the Lorax. The Lorax shook his head in disappointment, then grabbed his ass then flew into the sky full of smog.
The once-ler then walked up to the stone the Lorax was last on. It said 'Unless'. Hm. The once-ler then looked at his factory and spotted me on his balcony. He locked eyes with me, salty tears forming in his eyes. I couldn't see him like that, It broke my heart. But I didn't have the courage to go down and hug him, so I went back inside the factory.

A day later

I was in our bed room. He locked himself in his office, so I couldn't really get in. But I still tried. "Once-ler? You up?" I asked, knocking on his office door. "Go away." My face lit up when I heard the Once-ler's voice. "Oncie, I'm not going anywhere..."I chucked. "I'm staying right here." I said, lovingly. "Why didn't you leave like the others? I treated you like shit and your acting so kind!" He yelled. I could tell he was frustrated and sad because of everyone leaving him. "Because I love you." I said.
There was a bit of silence until I heard the sound of his office door unlocking. And there he was. I could tell he was crying—a lot—because of his red, puffy eyes. And looked like a mess. His tie hung lose, his hair was messy, he had eye bags, and there were dry tear stains on his cheeks "You still love me...? After everything I've done?" He asked, softly.
"Of course..." I smiled softly.
"I love you to... so much y/n... I'm so sorry..." The once-ler said as he broke down into tears.
"Shhh" I wiped away his tears, gently. Then kissed him, softly. "Don't cry, my baby..." The Once-ler smiled and blushed then he wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his head on my shoulder.
"I will always love you"
"Always forever"
