Fire and Roses

Chapter 1:

The moment I saw him I knew everything was about to change. His piercing green eyes, strong jawline, and his calculated, confident movements made my heart beat faster. His name was Caleb Garrett. He was the son of Tom Garrett. Tom was the owner of the company for 16 years, but as Tom is getting older someone needed to fill his shoes. Who better to do it then his son? Tom was a nice man. He wasn't very fond of me, but he wasn't very fond of anyone for that matter. He tolerated me and was a fair boss. That's the best a college intern can ask for. I have never met Caleb before, but if he was anything like his dad. I don't think that we will have any problems.

As a young and ambitious intern at T.G corporate real estate  I was determined to prove my worth to this company. I was an unpaid intern, but it was a way to get my foot in the door. If they were to like me after my internship colluded I could be taken on as a paid intern and eventually work my way up. T.G is the head of the real estate business right now. It would be an amazing opportunity. All I have to do is not screw it up. I had goals for myself, however when I met Caleb, everything became so much harder. Our encounters were nothing notable. They consisted of me looking at him and trying to meet his eyes, and him simply ignoring my existence. I thought Caleb would be like his father. However, after sitting in on meeting and being asked to do things for him. I soon learned he was very different.

Caleb liked everything a certain way. I believe the term is OCD. He had his desk a certain way. He needed his hair a certain way. His coffee a certain way or he would become agitated. He demanded perfection in a less then perfect world. Over the last couple of weeks I have come to learn he is entitled, and controlling. A man I thought would be heaven in the office. Was seeming more and more like a rich daddies boy everyday. I used to like coming to the office. Now, I dread the day Tom is gone and he gives the business to Caleb.
