Cold Eyes, Blue Snow

Chris' POV-

"Let's go for a swim!" My drunken boyfriend yells. I agree. We strip down to our underwear and jump into the cold water. As I feel the water coming over me, I wake up in my lonely jail cell. I start crying softly. Ricky. I feel his soft black hair. I see his warm blue eyes. His smile that brightens up the world. His funeral is today. And I can't go see him. I can't say my final goodbye.

The day I got arrested was the day I found out he had been murdered. The sky crying cold, soft tears of snow. I fell to my knees and let out a loud sob. I can't believe the love of my life was gone. And I was the #1 suspect for his murder. It tore me apart even more. I begged and pleaded to the police, but no one would listen to me. I was sitting at home in my room, studying for the big exams. My mom making food in the kitchen, singing, like always. My dad in his office, finishing up work for the evening. My brother and sister playing Call Of Duty in the living room.

I will never forget the look on my mom's face when they took me away in handcuffs. Tears streaming down her face. We were both sobbing hysterically. The neighbors standing on their porches and in their lawns, wondering what the fuck is going on. Why is the nice boy who has a love for metal music getting arrested?

I can only imagine what his funeral would look like. A shiny black coffin, family and friends crying and pleading to God why him. And then my beautiful, sleeping prince. His eyes sewn shut, as was his mouth. His long black hair flowing around his pale face. His hands folded neatly on his stomach. Just the thought of it makes me want to cry tears of blood. I would kill myself to bring him back to me.

I look out the window of my tiny cell. It was no longer snowing, but the untouched snow on the ground was glistening in the sun. Just like Ricky's eyes would glisten when he looked at me.

Who would look at him and want him dead?
