she gave him a smile, "hi... sorry have we met?" she asked, inching backwards towards gracie from how close he was standing and his weird vibe.
"no no, um," his blue eyes shined as he gave her a toothy smile, "i'm travis. hi gracie," he said, looking right at her.
"charlotte, we should go somewhere else," gracie said firmly, hand wrapping around charlottes arm. her jaw was clenched and she looked something between horrified and disgusted. still, charlotte was curious and had no idea who this was, and she wanted to know so she stood her ground.
"nice to meet you travis... did you need something?" the actress asked, gracie's hand still on her arm.
"something like that," he said. "you know my bestfriend, alex monaghan, don't you?" he leaned closer to say it more privately, though it still made charlotte freeze and almost drop her drink. "he knew i was coming here tonight and he wanted me to ask how you guys have been since he uh leaked your relationship," he smirked, folding his arms and stepping closer.
she knew she had to stay composed, she was at her shoes goddamn after party after all. but the urge to just punch this guy square in the face was unbearable, and the rage in her eyes were as present as the stupid look on his face. gracie placed her other hand on charlottes shoulder, pulling her closer and wanting nothing more than to turn her around the other way and walk to somewhere else. she looked to charlotte in a panic as she watched her open her mouth to speak, but before she could say anything that would totally get her into trouble, travis spoke up.
"hey he appreciates you guys not telling the world and shit that he did it, i mean not like they'd care he did, but maybe you'll thank him considering he helped you guys come out to your parents," he laughed. "aye and by the way, i saw that little fight earlier at the premiere and damn, i say you guys got a week before your dad pulls you two apart. you should thank alex for that though, he's helping you escape little miss bows over here."
charlotte scoffed, shoving her arm out of gracie's grip to raise it, nearly about to slap the blonde boy in front of her when a taller, dark haired boy swooped in front of her to face the blonde.
"hey man, got a problem?" matthew asked, head titled and wearing an innocent look, though his fists her clenched under his folded arms.
"nah, no problem at all i was just saying hello to the star of the show," he smiled to matthew.
"yeah? okay well, i didn't mean to interrupt sorry bro," matthew said, reaching across the counter to grab a random full glass of beer. "aye let me grab you a drink for the trouble," he said, raising the glass and dumping it down right onto travis's head, the alcohol drenching him entirely as he gasped and a few heads turned. "c'mon," matthew laughed, grabbing both the girls and rushing them quickly across the party to a couch where a few of their friends sat.
"matthew!" charlotte laughed, looking back at travis who was shrieking for someone to grab him a napkin as he took off his blazer. "you did not just fucking do that."
"yeah, yeah, well i heard everything he was saying and i think it'd be best if i did something instead of the female, already controversial, lead of the show, slapping the shit out of him," matthew shrugged.
"i— who even invited him i haven't seen him since... well me and alex," gracie mumbled midst high-fiving matthew.
"not sure but i guarantee he's gonna be out of here now," charlotte laughed, pulling out her phone and sneaking a quick photo of him. "the fucking nerve though."
"he's always been immature," gracie said, fingers weaving through the ends of charlottes hair. "you think he's right though? when he said people wouldn't care if he admitted alex leaked us?"
