The kids quickly circled into the room coming to stand around the kitchen table, a smug look plastered on Mike's face as he took place before the others.

Eddie raised an eyebrow questioningly. "Uh, yeah?" he asked.

"We-" Mike started.

"We have a solution that will help us get answers!" Dustin blurted out cutting Mike off in an instant. Clearly having been excited to tell the others.

Mike's head lulled backwards and he sighed. He pointed to Dustin who was now bouncing on his toes with a grin on his face. "Yeah, what he said."

Nancy hummed, Intrigued by what they were saying. "What's your solution?"

Dustin moved, grabbing onto Will's arm and pulling him forward to stand beside him. "It was Will's idea. I'm honestly quite shocked I hadn't thought about it." The curly-haired teen explained. Trialling off at the end into more out loud thinking that an explanation.

All eyes from the table turned to Will. The boy sputtered and paused before opening his mouth. "I uh, said we should give him a notepad and pen. So that way he could just write down what he thought instead of having to speak."

"That's...actually a really good idea," Nancy said thoughtfully. Her eyebrows furrowed in a v shape and she crossed her arms. "Why hadn't we thought of that?"

Robin shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe you were just expecting something more complex." She paused before snorting with a roll of her eyes. "Not really like anything's easy for us."

Eddie hummed in agreement and Steve couldn't help his own eye roll from happening. Because yeah, nothing was ever easy for them.

"We can tell my mum when she gets back in. Shouldn't be that long now, it doesn't usually take her long to calm him down." Jonathan says.

Eddie raises an eyebrow and glances at Jonathan with curiosity. "What do you mean by that?"

"It means exactly what I said. You saw it happen the first night he got here."

"Yeah but like, I thought that was because he didn't have much of a choice."

Jonathan shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know, it might be."

"I think it's just a Joyce thing," Robin piped in. "you know with her being so motherly and all."

She got several hums of agreement for that.

"Maybe we could-"

"Whatever you kids are planning in there it isn't going to work." Hopper's voice bellowed from the other room.

Max scoffed. "We aren't planning anything."

"Really?" Hopper didn't sound the least bit convinced. There was some shuffling before walking could be heard coming towards the kitchen, seconds later Hopper appeared in the doorway. "What's all this then?" He gestures to the lot of them.

"We've come up with a solution to our problem," Dustin answered

Hopper raised an eyebrow. "Which is?"

Dustin waved him off "We'll tell you when Joyce and Billy get back inside so we don't have to repeat ourselves."

Hopper frowned but nodded. "Okay."

It takes around another five minutes before Joyce and Billy come back into the room, Joyce leading Billy back towards the couch before gesturing him to take a seat. The teen didn't seem to hesitate as much as before but still gave a wary look about before seating himself dead centre. The others in the house started moving towards the living room.
