First Day

"SKYLAR!" I hear my best friends voice yell from outside.

"AVERY!" I say walking to the door and matching her excitement. "So Ave's what's up?"

"You're never gonna believe what happened to me on my way here!" I walk her to the couch and grab her some ice tea from my fridge.

Avery and I have been best friends since our first year of college, it was the type of friendship where you just instantly click and know you're gonna end up being besties. We both major in Astrology and love doing basically anything together.

"So I was walking over here because my car broke down, and y'know where that old boutique that sold grandma clothes used to be," I shake my head yes, I had only gone in there one time because the clothes were definitely not my style. "well they opened up a really cute little book store! So I go inside to check it out and I look around for a bit until a really cute guy comes up to me."

"Oooo okayyyy!" I say excited for my friend, she was so gorgeous I don't know any guy that wouldn't want her. She was almost always asked out by some guy on the street but she rejected most of them.

"Yeah! So we get to talking for a bit and he works there! AGHH HOW DREAMY IS THAT? A hot guy who works a book store??? Anyways he recommended me 2 new books and put his number on the receipt! So now I have a date for Wednesday!"

"OMG AVES IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU BABE!"

"AHHH THANK YOU SKY! I really like this guy!" I chuckle in my head at this comment considering she just met him.

"Good now back to your car-"

"NO NO NO I HAVE TEA FIRST!" She says interrupting me. "Okay so you know how Mr. Wards got fired last year?"

"Yeah he like sexually assaulted a lot of girls right?" Probably the only reason I passed his class with an A, seeing as history is not my strong suit. Thank the lord I wasn't one of them.

"YES SO GROSS BUT NOT THE POINT!" She says taking a swig of her ice tea. "SO, Tina heard from Lindsay, who heard from Layla who said our new history teacher was SMOKING HOT, I guess when she went to go pick up her schedule the other day she was late and saw him walk into Mr. Wards old classroom!" Huh. Thats a lot of names to follow. Besides who knows what Laylas definition of hot is... But if she is right then maybe I have something to look forward to in history class after all..

"AVES!" I at my phone waiting for her to pick up. If she's late to the first day of freaking senior year I will kill her.

"SKYYYYY!" I hear her yell from across the field. She runs towards me almost falling every step, lets just say she's not the most athletic person.

"Y'know we were supposed to meet here 20 minutes ago." I say crossing my arms and looking away from her.

"Aweeee did someone miss me??" I roll my eyes and look back at her. "I LOVE your dress Sky, its so cute! Wait when,- Did you go shopping without me?"

"Noo you know I would never do such a thing. Ive had it for a while I just never wore it, you know dresses aren't really my thing." The dress was mid thigh high, darkish blue with white flower print, it hugged my breast really nicely. It was a little much cleavage for me but it was still really cute. I wanted to try and step up my fashion game a little this year since its my last one here.

"Yeah I guess you're right. ANYWAYS I'm so excited for 2nd period! Now we can really see if he lives up to our standards!"

"Aren't you going on that date with Max and like 3 days?"

"Yeah but a little eye candy never hurt anyone."

"Uh-huh."

"But I'm mostly looking for you! You need someone to go with to the clubs on Friday!" Friday. My birthday. 21 years old.
