[Authors POV]

Troublesome. . .

That's the only word that Deidara could use to describe Tobi if anyone asked him. The guy was honestly a mystery to him and to most of the Akatsuki who tried to get to know him. Deidara didn't care though as long as Tobi stayed out of his way and kept the peace around them. This however would not happen as Deidara looked outside the window of the Akatsuki hideout and saw Tobi standing in the rain. This was an ordinary occurrence in his eyes since Tobi always did that when there was a rain/thunderstorm.

His blue eyes only scanned the still figure below before returning back to the little clay bird he was sculpting. He would have continued to be preoccupied with his personal activity, but the sudden knock on his door made him groan in annoyance before he gathered the energy to speak.

"Come in," he said before the door opened slowly, and in walked Itachi. That boring and stoic expression was still very present on Itachi's face as he spoke.

"Where's Tobi? I need him to help me with something," Itachi said. Deidara only pointed out the window and into the outside world where Tobi stood. Itachi stared at the figure below and gave a confused look probably wondering why Tobi was out in the rain in the middle of winter. Deidara didn't have a response other than the fact that Tobi always did that when it rained to which he gave me a 'hn' as a response before walking out. He knew for a fact that if Itachi needed Tobi's assistance with something he wouldn't go outside in this weather to retrieve him. Though at the same time, Deidara couldn't risk Tobi getting sick. After all, they had a mission coming up and the risk of dragging a sick individual would only compromise them even more. So, with that in mind, Deidara slowly got out of bed and slid on his shoes before walking through the halls of the hideout. They were dim and cold, but Deidara didn't mind as long as they weren't the walls of the previous hideout they all stayed at. Just the memory of it sent shivers down his spine. It wasn't a very welcoming place, but Tobi somehow was very used to it, and Deidara found that awfully strange. Who would like such a dark place? Deidara thought to himself before finally reaching the door, grabbing one of the umbrellas, and stepping outside to the hostile environment awaiting him.

Deidara frowned and hugged himself tightly before heading to the side of the hidden house and came in sight of Tobi who stood completely still in the rain. It was as if the guy was in a trance and wasn't paying attention to the world around him. Deidara blinked in utter confusion and a slight flash of concern flashed through his face for only a moment thinking about how cold it was out there. He himself couldn't stand it as he hurried over to Tobi and called out his name.

"Tobi, you shouldn't be out here."

Tobi didn't respond and never moved from his place. Deidara just assumed he wasn't loud enough so he reached over to touch Tobi's shoulder lightly. That's when Tobi seemingly got out of his trance and slightly jumped at the contact of Deidara's hand. Deidara was a bit stunned that Tobi being the loud and obnoxious person he is got startled by a simple touch.

"Senpai," Tobi said as he turned to face Deidara. That's when he noticed how quiet his voice was, but it still didn't lose that annoyingly high pitch it had to it. "You can't be out here. We have a mission tomorrow and I can't risk having to drag you around. Also, Itachi wants to see you," Deidara said before turning on his heel and walking away. Tobi stood motionless in the rain for a few more seconds before following Deidara inside. Deidara was slightly irked at the fact that his shoes were now muddy from the puddles and glared at Tobi who was standing inside at the front of the doorway, dripping water beneath himself causing puddles to form. A groan left Deidara's mouth and just as he was about to lecture Tobi about his strange behavior, Itachi came out of nowhere.
