Chapter 16

I was done with class and decided head to Aditya's promotion ceremony.

I wanted to wash my hands first so went to the toilet,when I was done washing my hands I tried to open the school toilet door but it wasn't working I tried but it didn't work.

Out of nowhere Smoke started coming into the toilet and I started feeling dizzy and I blacked out.

I opened my eyes and realized I fainted I jumped up to my feet realizing I'm extremely late for the ceremony

I have to make a plan. I look around and I see a window,since we're in the first floor I decided to jump it. I just bruised my hand a little

I ran as fast as I could but when I reached the event hall it was empty.
My knees gave up and I feel to the ground.

I couldn't make it. I get back home and everyone was celebrating about his promotion except him.

I walk over to Aditya.

"I'm sorry I couldn't make it"I say holding his shoulder and he pushes my hand away

"It's fine"he says obviously not fine

"I said sorry something happened in school and I cou....."I say as I get cut off

"I said it's fine"he says as his voice slightly increases

He stands up from the chair and walks away.

I began to wonder what happened in school.After the incident,why would anyone try to stop me from getting to the promotion. I need to find out

I decided to go to school and check the CCTV cameras in school

I walk to the admin office to check. School was open because of evening classes but I don't offer it.

I told the admin officer that I lost my credit card and wanted to check were I had it last.He actually left the whole computer for me

I was scrolling until I found earlier today's footage

It was ...............Malini,she did it she locked the door immediately I walked into the toilet and through sleeping gas into the toilet.

I instantly copied the footage into a pen drive and left the office and went back home

I walked into Malini's room

"Why did you do it"I say showing her the pen drive

"I don't know what you are saying"she says rubbing some organic cream on her face and looking at the mirror

"You locked the door and made me miss Aditya's ceremony"I say

"Well you can't prove anything"she says walking to me

"I can cause I have a the footage right here" I say showing her the pen drive

"What?"

"Yes and I'm going to show it to Aditya right away"I say about to walk out of her room but she holds me back.

"Give me that"she says trying to take it from me

I begin to struggle for it and fight,she takes it from me and attempts to smash it but I stop her I push her down she gets up and twists my hand and smashes me on the wall.My head was hurting so bad.

I remove myself from her clutch and push her so hard she hits the door and it opens and she lands on someone.

It was Aditya

Oh my gosh,I'm in so much trouble

Aditya helps Malini off the ground and walks to me

"Why Imlie why"he says

"She deserves it,You have to find out her truth"I say as I look around for the pen drive

"Which truth"he says

"She is the not as innocent as she looks"I say

"Enough of this imlie"he shout as I see the pen drive is destroyed

"Oh no,the proof it's destroyed"I say

"Imlie listen,I know I don't love Malini anymore but you have to treat her with respect she is still family"he says angrily

"I treat her with respect,she is my sister"I say

"You just pushed her"he says

"She deserves......."I get cut off by Aditya raising his hand to slap me but he didn't

I was shaking with fear,he actually wanted to slap me,my head was spinning and I held the wall for support. Isn't he supposed to be on my side as his wife

"Imlie please don't be like this"he says and walks out

Malini begins to laugh at me"Aren't you going to expose me,I was so lucky Aditya passed my door at the right time"she says laughing

I just stand there shocked that he tried to slap me I walk to Malini

"Please let's not do this,we are sisters and we love each other"I say

"Love,you don't love me"she says

"I do and I have loved you since I arrived here"I say

"If you loved me you wouldn't have stolen Aditya from me"she says

"But....you accept"my voice was shaking now

"If you want this to end then divorce Aditya and I will love you from the deepest part of my heart"she says

"I'm sorry sister but I can't let you do that"I say and walk out of her room

I went straight to me and Aditya's room. I layed down on the bed and Aditya came in few minutes later

"I'm sorry I couldn't make it to your promotion ceremony"I say from my half of the bed

"It was very important imlie"he says from his half

"I'm so sorry but..."I get cut off

"But let me guess it was Malini's fault right"he says

"Yes and you have to believe me"I say

"Please stop this foolishness,she didn't do anything"he says

"How do you know Aditya, just let me explain"I say

"No,just go to sleep"he says and offs the lights

These part of the book are the most interesting,I can't believe Aditya almost slapped her what a rude man.
