"Ha! She believes me!" Wind started jumping up and down excitedly with a big smile on his face. "Unlike you guys she's not making fun of me."
"You should go to bed, Wind. It's past your bedtime." Said Warrior. He didn't sound stern but there was a certain authority in his voice.
"Whaaa- Nah ah! You're not my dad! Don't tell me what to do! I'm almost 14!" Wind protested, crossing his arms over his chest and frowning at Warrior.
"You're still a kid and you need proper sleep. I don't want to hear any of your excuses." Warrior said but this time he sounded sterner as he stood up from his spot on the log with his hands on his hips like a mother does when she's scolding her child.
"I don't- "
"That is enough!" The whole camp went quiet looking at the Time, Wind and Warrior. Time stood up glaring at both Wind and Warrior. "Wind, go to sleep we have a lot of walking ahead of us tomorrow and if you're going to be tired, I can promise you no one will carry you." Said Time giving Wind this scary look, almost like a father would when he doesn't like your behavior. It made even me nervous, and I wasn't the one he was talking to. Wind hanged his head low and headed to his tent that he shared with Warrior. From the looks of some of the others I wasn't the only one feeling bad for him. I mean yes, he is young but come on, a little more time with us wouldn't hurt the kid.
As soon as Wind disappeared into the tent Time turned to Warrior. "You can't keep looking at him like he's a baby that he was right about. I know you meant good, but you can't treat him like that forever. He is one of us and he surely can handle himself well. Also don't expect him to listen like a solder would...he is a sailor after all. I wouldn't be surprised if he messes with your things right now." Time said with a slight smirk on his face pointing to their tent with his thumb.
Warrior's eyes widened and he quickly ran inside the tent ready to stop this brat from messing with his stuff only to find Wind already sound asleep on his bedroll, making Warrior's expression soften and his body to relax, putting a small smile on his face instead of the angry expression he had before. He grabbed his blanket and carefully placed it over the small sleeping kid then walking out of the tent with the same soft smile.
"I'm guessing that means he didn't do anything...?" asked Legend with a bored expression on his face.
"Hah! Now, you would like that wouldn't you? But no, he is sound asleep." Warrior answered, crossing his arms over his chest with a smirk.
"It would definitely be funny." Legend said poking into the fire with a small stick.
"For you..." Warrior mumbled under his breath, letting out a sigh before talking so everyone could hear him. "Who wants to take the first watch tonight?" He asked waiting for anyone to volunteer which he didn't have to wait long for. Me and Wild were the first ones to raise our hands making us smile at each other. Me and Wild get along pretty well so I was happy to spend more time with him. I'm already starting to think of him as a good friend.
"Y/N...!" My smile dropped when I saw Hyrule run out the tent, quickly approaching me. Once he reached me, he was slightly out of breath, breathing heavily but he still managed to speak clearly. "Y/N...He..He's up.." he said with a smile that got progressively bigger as he caught his breath.
I dashed into the tent. My eyes welled up with tears feeling relieve wash over me as I saw Link softly smiling at me sitting on the bed instead of laying down motionlessly with his eyes closed. I immediately wrapped my arms around him, pulling him into a hug. "Don't you dare scare me like that ever again! Do you have any idea how worried I was about you, you idiot!?" I pulled away from the hug keeping my hand on his shoulders slightly shaking him as tears ran down my face. I felt him place his hand on my cheek gently caressing it and wiping my tears with his thumb. He was smiling and spoke in a gentle voice. "I'm sorry for making you worry so much but hey! I'm okay! And you know you won't get rid of me that easily." He chuckled ruffling my hair. I giggled wiping the tears. He somehow always knew how to make me feel better even in situations like these.
